I also have Skyrim on pc with mods and love it.I loved it without mods but with is even better.I feel bad when gamers talk about the problems they have with Skyrim but I think alot of the problems is the aging consoles.I've never had anything major on the pc version but gamers should be able to play if it's released on there console of choice. But about what you said. When I play open world games I usually just do my own thing and don't really pay attention to the story.I go and do the missions the npc's tell me too but usually I just walk around/explore and fight.I think part of the problems you noticed like the argonian being allowed in has to do with stories in open world games.Since you can go anywhere and do anything that has to be taken into account story wise and it might be tricky.I do agree when you go back to a character they should remember you and what you did for/or to them.Definately adds to the immersion.I would like to see Bethesda improve on the combat.I never had a problem with it but after playing Dark Souls and seeing what it could be it made me want it improved in The Elder Scrolls. What are some of the mods you have?
I remember walking through the fair and hearing "Girls just want to have fun" by Cyndi Lauper.I'm not saying this is the song but you might be able to eliminate it.
If a new game/sequel isn't radically different gamers say "same old sh*t again" or "why don't they change it up"? If a new game/sequel has changes or is different you hear "why didn't they just make it like the last game"?
Far Cry 3 is awesome.I kept dying alot in the very beginning too. When you have to throw rocks and distract the guards. It gets alot easier once you get out of the beginning.
As long as millions of people are buying the games nothing will change. They care more about money than they do with ME's ending to the story.Millions of sales says to them "what we are doing is working".Let's do more.If you don't like what they are doing stop buying there games.
I have hundreds of hours in Skyrim without ever completing the campaign.Open world games are my favorite and I love to just walk around and explore and do whatever without really paying attention to the story.I did get bored after my first character was level 40 and stopped playing fow awhile than started up again.I did recently start a new character.A dark elf that I want to play stealth/thief type instead of my usual warrior kill em all.Elder Scrolls and Fallout games are the ones I will always play for years to come.
