Sony killed it with the PS4 but dropped the ball with the Pro, IMO. I have a PS4 and have zero interest in getting a Pro. I switched from PS2 to the Xbox 360 because the PS3 was ridiculously expensive at launch. I switched back to Sony because the PS4 was a better pure gaming machine than the Xbox One. If I were inclined to buy another console so soon, and I'm not, I'd just hold out for the Scorpio at this point. I have no brand loyalty. I switch to whoever has the best console tech of the current gen and the next half gen looks to be swinging back to Xbox. Only blind fanboyism could deny this. I am interested in PSVR but I haven't seen enough information that shows the Pro will be significantly better at running VR games. I'm not dropping hundreds of dollars for a minuscule change in performance. If the PS4 can run VR games decently, I'll just stick with it.

I don't have it pre-ordered because I thought it was just a gimmick/fad but the more I read about it, the more interested I get. I'll definitely check out a store demo because the Star Wars X-wing/Rogue One/whatever mission, Star Trek Bridge Crew and Arkham VR have piqued my interest since they're 3 of my favorite IPs.

It's actually designed to be left in rest mode when not playing. I always leave mine in rest mode when not playing. I've had no problems whatsoever.

Cool story, bro. When I do get a PS4 sometime next year, I'll be sure to just play games on it like I always intended.

I just went grocery shopping and our Walmart actually had 3 PS4s in stock. I didn't think they'd be available until at least February.

Mechs? Pass. Online multiplayer only? Double pass.

Am I the only one who couldn't possibly care any less about this game? Titanfall this, Titanfall that, blah, blah, blah...I never cared for mech games and I certainly don't care for the online multiplayer only aspect. I just don't get all the hype.

FPS games would be nearly impossible on consoles without aim assist. It's just to awkward to move a thumbstick cursor to aim with. With a mouse, it's as easy as zipping the cursor around the screen. In Quake 3, there was cross-platform multiplayer and PC players absolutely dominated their console counterparts, proving the superiority of the mouse/keyboard for FPS games.
