If you really think that GS is "despotic" in its approach to clean up the comments system then perhaps it is time that you did leave GS. What with its "liberalism" and its "feminism" it clearly has developed some political ideologies that you don't agree with.

@Morphine_OD @wavey_gravey There will always be something that people don't like or don't agree with it, that is just the nature of the world. That shouldn't mean that it is a taboo subject not to be discussed or criticised.

If GS is publishing articles that offends your (and the wider community's) sensibilities then go elsewhere, nobody is forcing you to read them.

And, this isn't just about the GTA review. I have seen terrible comments directed at other reviewers as well, over scores given for games or for a reviewer's sexuality, it really is vile.

@Morphine_OD @wavey_gravey Because you have a narrow viewpoint on the issue of the TOU suggesting that it will stop all dialogue. I am not sure that I can be any plainer.

@Morphine_OD @wavey_gravey Of course there is a dialogue, if you can't see that, then that is your own narrow minded viewpoint. GS is publishing articles that are reflecting a lot of what is being discussed in the gaming community at the moment. You don't like it? Don't read it, it is as simple as that. If you don't agree with it, fine, nobody, not even GS is asking you to. BUT, if you do comment on it, GS is asking that you do that respectfully and intelligently, and not attack an individual personally or spew out bile all over it. THAT is silencing, not the new TOU.

@Morphine_OD @wavey_gravey I fail to see how most of the comments on Carolyn's recent GTA review was "creating a dialogue". If anything, Carolyn's work with a feminist viewpoint IS creating the dialogue, it is the people who are shouting, crying for her resignation or making personal insults against her which are the ones that are suppressing the dialogue.

@Morphine_OD @wavey_gravey Criticism is fine, I have no problem with that as long as it is done respectfully. Sadly that hasn't been the case for the most part. The new TOU should weed out those who have abused this comment system with their hate and stupidity for far too long.

@Morphine_OD No, I think GS will ban people who won't give those people a voice to talk about a feminist agenda without using threatening and vile language!
