That's a damn good quote, from a damn good movie. I can agree, but you have to see that is a bit easier to say when you are built like Deebo:P If anything I would say the haste to just get a gun, is not much worse than the haste to fight. Many matters can be solved through diplomacy and reason. Too many people are quick to fight, and you never know how far a fight can go. You can easily die in a fight, so I personally view a fight as a life and death matter and would not hesitate to disable an assailant by shooting them. That and long term disability is another potential reality of a fight. Keep in mind I literally never cause problems or start fights, but I am not going to be victim either. A gun should be a last resort in defense in life or death situations, but that can be a subjective concept. It's all relative. I live a block outside the city of Detroit, I seriously doubt fair fight even exists as an idea around here. I can agree somewhat, but guns aren't for me. Also do you live close enough to go to that Hardcore Pawn shop in 8 mile? I'd love to know if it is really as crazy as it looks on TV lol. It's half a mile from my work! I have been in there a few times, and a few contractors that work for me have been on the show. It is really "rough" in that area. The merchandise in that store is so ridiculous, everything is crap. Needless to say every business in the area has bulletproof everything.[QUOTE="warbmxjohn"]
[QUOTE="Yusuke420"]I think this is what it comes down to for a lot of gun owners and in a situation with a home invastion, that's a totally viable situation. However, you must admit that there is a contengent that will run to get a gun if they feel they will lose in a fair fight. This reminds me of a quote from the movie Friday.
"Everyone's so quick to pick up a gun, and scared to take an a$$ whoopin, you win some, you lose some, but you live, you live to fight another day"

I'm a 6' 5" , 255 lbs black guy myself. I'm not scare because of your size, I'm scared because you think hot lead flying through objects is something to find fun in.

Did you add that part in to be extra scary?
It was a reference to a previous post. Not everyone has a family. Not everyone has the luxury of taking time off.LOL at this thread, its ridiclous. You people are okay with people not being with their families on a holiday esstianly made for being together?

Oh, and what do you mean, you people?
So would it be correct to assume you have not shot a firearm? This would be correct, my mother had them, but I stayed far away from them.I can't deny the wisdom in avoiding them as a child, but when you grow up and are of legal age it becomes a different subject. Not everyone is 6'5 and 255, so some people have to be able to protect themselves not only from criminals with guns but the plethora of other available weapons. Every time I read an article about a senior citizen, or woman, or really anyone in a vulnerable position that is able to fend off a would be assault, rapist, or murderer I can't help but appreciate the opportunity for law abiding, non violent, responsible adults to own firearms to use to protect themselves from those with ill intent.[QUOTE="warbmxjohn"][QUOTE="Yusuke420"]

Police response 5 minutes minimum, responsible gun owner response time 5 seconds. I favor the second one when I think about the safety of my loved ones and myself of course. In regards to the question about you ever even shooting a gun, don't condemn the potential fun one may find in an activity just because you do not favor it. A fitting example is: (it should be safe to assume you like video games - gamespot) many people find the rising interest in video games disturbing, especially violent games. So don't be too quick to write someone off who can enjoy the FUN there is to be had in sport shooting. Shooting can be exhilarating and fun, if everyone who enjoyed shooting was a killer we would all be dead long ago.

Magical and invisible father figure sees everything you do and rewards or punishes you accordingly. I can easily see how brainwashing one into believing this can be advantageous. That and it is a bit less grim and dark, coal instead of burning for eternity. Prepares children to easily accept the idea of Christianity. While that may not have been the design, it certainly is the inadvertent purpose this day and age.
I read 93 Million and instantly thought of the distance from the sun to the earth.
But what can you do, business is business. Hopefully the manager/franchisees at least ask for volunteers so the blow is softened. Also, it serves as incentive to pursue an alternative, and hopefully better career.
