I stand by Kojima. I have followed his games and twitter for years and he does everything with respect while pushing the industry. He always explains and defends his choices with good reasoning and with the overall idea we are trying to make a good game. This designer who is criticizing Kojima is just a jealous moron. He works for a company that has been making the same game for years, 343/bungie. Kojima has been making games that time and time again have become classics and the reason why game industry has respect and isn't just a an business for kids. It all boils down to guy who makes first person shooters criticizing the Steven Speilberg of video games.
@ExplicitMike Games of course come first, but consoles are on the verge of dying off so they're becoming media devices. It's great to have a console that acts as cable box, streaming device and internet broswer. Games undoubtedly important, but no one really blew me away except the Last of Us, Watch Dogs and Metal Gear Rising.
@ExplicitMike the sony conference had a few really cool games, but almost every console is expanding there console to do a lot more than games. They could of at least announced some drastic improvements to the PSN. I think Microsoft pushed connect too much, but they did show more overall not just games.
I am a Sony fanboy of some sort, but I was disappointed with the conference. Microsoft had a better conference, they showed off new services and the interesting smart glass. Sony sadly didn't announce any new services like Adult Swim on Ps3 like I had wished for. :) All they really did was show off a few cool looking games and showed how great PS Plus is good for saving money on gaming. I did a video about the conference and woould appreciate if you guys checked it out and maybe subscribed. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TWmp6i-okGk
I only own a Ps3, but I have to say the Xbox is turning into a really cool media device. I for one would like to see more cable services on my PS3. I still think Xbox is deviating too much from gaming and is stretching themselves too far in all directions. That being said they probably had the best conference if you don't count Ubisoft. I did a thoughts video on the conference. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AbZFLUhBUek I would appreciate if you guys subbed and left feedback.
