Thanks for the advice from the both of you. I decided to call Sony and have them fix it up for me cause I couldnt stand parting with my system that has backwards compatability and I like the style more, although if a problem happens again in the future ill have no choice but to go with the slim. Hopefully their wont be any problems with it by the time the ps4 comes out Haha.

Well I still own my original 60g ps3 since the release date. Within the past years I have had the RLOD and had to replace my lens. Just after a horrible day tonight I came home to my ps3 with the YLOD. What I want to know is this a unfixable problem? If not should I just have it get fixed or should I just geta brand new one?

So I finally completed every mission possible ( i think ) and every little miscellanous side missions. Ive talked to all the people that i could and have been to every area on the map. All that was left was getting all the trophies and the one im stuck on is the "Oblivion Walker" find 15 daedric artifacts. Problem is I have no idea what is considered a daedric artifact, the first one I know I got was the big mace thing from the daedric lord molag, can anyone tell me what the other 14 artifacts are? Thanks to anyone who helps

Orignially I had Dead Island comming for PS3 but ended up with the Xbox version the day it had came out and have been playing it constantly for almost two weeks now, I did also get resistance 3 (PS3 Only) the day it came out with Dead Island and decided to play it for the first time last night. I put the disc in my PS3 and It started up saying this is a 3D game and whatnot and then it gave the playstation move info after that the screen went dark and went back to the startup screen (when you start up a PS3). The disc was not showing up under the game selection, so I put in Resistance 2, did not work. I put in a PS2 game,(I have backwards compatabilty) did not work. I put in my blu ray Resident Evil, did not work. Now keep in mind I havent messed with my ps3 in about 2 weeks so I cant assume what kinda problem it has except if their is a problem with my disc reader? Now this morning before I got on here I placed the same PS2 game just for the heck of it and it worked all fine, took it out after 5 mins, and put Resistance 3 in, no disc showed up. I am completly clueless on this? Does anyone know what the problem is and how I can fix this?

"My PS3 is a first gen. I got it the day it came out. So I wouldnt be suprise if their is problems with it seeing how old it is and is glad it held up this long but I do not want to lose my backwards compatabilty since I own about 80% of every PS2 game and quite a lot of great PS1 games"

Now im glad I played the demo because I usually buy series games the day they come out and I was really disappointed with the demo. The graphics and cutscenes were amazing, but the whole shifting from one car to another I thought was sorta lame (personally) as well as the story. I loved how the series was slowly developing into a GTA type of game but I really dont see it happening for this game(you couldnt even run over a pedestrian!). Im sure the game is decently good but this is probably a rentable game at best.

Honestly I think they wont sell a ps4 for many years! And most likely they will have you start a new account on ps4 since technically you got trophies on ps3 games. As for downloadable content, you might as well buy what you want off the ps3 because I am 99% sure they wont let you redownload it on ps4.

I am super excited for Resident Evil:Operation Raccoon City to come out! Ive been a fan of the series since the first game came out. I believe this new gameplay style (w/co-op) was a great idea to do. Does anyone think they are going to like the new gameplay style?
