gta 5 will be a completely overhauled much better version of gta 4jonwhitley154

As I said, that is what I am hoping they will do.  It's too early to know for sure, so instead of being uber excited, I am cautiously interested.  Playing a game from five years ago has driven home (see what I did there? ;)  ) to me that gameplay has changed and while I LOVED the game in 2008 (something many of you seemed to have overlooked) it wasn't as fun to play in 2013.  Some gameplay design decisions just aren't fun and I am really hoping that Rockstar has realized that is all.

I get that you guys are big fans but wow, what is with all the anger and insults?  Why not have an actual discussion about GTA5 rather than spew forth hatred?  Only person that did was Mink (at least in their first post).

I agree.  I even wrote about such a mode back when GTA 4 came out.

I was very excited for this time.  I remember playing the heck out of GTA 4 and I absolutely loved Red Dead Redemption.  Recently I went back to play the GTA 4 DLC and boy was that a mistake.  The game hasn't aged well.  I won't complain about the graphics or anything like that, but the controls are horrible.  Tired to complete the helicopter mission in TBOGT and after 12 failures I just gave up.  I might not even go back to the game.

I don't understand it.  The controls for the helicopter are garbage.  I don't get how they wouldn't have come up in playtesting.  Wouldn't they be able to see players struggling to get that machine to do what they want and think it was time to go back to the drawing board?  Of course they are probably the exact same as GTA 4, which again I said I loved, but at this point I'm just not having any fun with the game and now I'm concerned that when GTA 5 will feel the same; outdated and clumsy.

I wonder if I loved RDR so much cuz there were no helicopters and in general areas were more open so the bad controls weren't as noticeable.  I wonder if I would still love it going back to it now.  I'm kinda afraid to find out.

Flying a helicopter that has a machine gun and shoots rockets should feel empowering and be fun.  I shouldn't wish the damn level was over.  I shouldn't feel like playing a game is work I need to suffer through.

I'm going to wait on GTA 5.  See what reviews have to say before I make a buying decision.  I'd like to think Rockstar will make improvements going forward but I'm no convinced.  If they couldn't see the flaws in GTA 4 will they be able to in the next installment?

I think people get hung up on silly details.  I watched the video and I was impressed.  The size and scope and planning and actual building would have taken a long time, even with duping.  I'm mostly impressed with the organzation and the way like minded people got together to build something.  I (personally) think that is really cool and being duped doesn't take away from that for me.

The little pop up is the game telling you it's saving your stats.  Don't confuse it with actually saving your game (like I did in the beginning).  It's just saving the infomation regarding how far you've walked, how many blocks you've mined, etc that are found in the Stat screen.

Diamonds are found deep under ground.  If you see redstone or gold, you're around the same level to find diamonds.

This confused me at first as well, until I figured out you had to hold down the trigger uninterrupted for it to work.  I recommend the tutorial world as it will walk you though a lot of the basics to help you get started.

Have fun!

I love how sarcasm flies over some people's heads.

Well to be fair a lot of what makes sarcasm, sarcasm is tone of voice (followed by facial expression). Neither of those are available on forums. I won't hold it against anyone if they weren't sure or took what was side at face value.

A few bundles from Walmart here. You just have to look for them.

Looks like that is just in the States. Walmart.com vs. Walmart.ca. =(

I don't think a bundle needs to be stupid (8 games, 5 controls, choice of super model) or anything. It can be as simple as including a game or two at a reduced prices. Basically make it cheaper than it would be if I bought all the items separately. If that means charging a little bit more fine. If not, why not eat the cost of an older but popular exlcusive like Infamous and/or LittleBigPlanet.

I've been looking at getting a PS3 for a year and a half (casually curious even longer). Obviously they don't have my business so to say they don't need to do bundles isn't accurate. Everyone is different so what I find valuable and worth my cash wil be different from what other people do. If some type of bundle came out Sony would have my business. Heck I would have bought a PS3 back when LittleBigPlanet came out (before the Slim), if the LBP bundle wasn't restricted to Eurpose only (why'd they do that anyway?).

I don't know, it's just frustrating. Doesn't seem very business like or forward thinking to go after one specific audience. I want to get one but I'm holding off for some type of deal to make me excited about it. $299 isn't going to be my final cost when you factor in a second controler, a game or two and a HDMI cable. Give me something that says "Wow that's an awesome package, I'm totally getting that" rather than looking down your nose at me and saying "suck it up, it's this or nothing". Cuz it's going to be nothing.
