True, i dont even live in America. But still when you are playing a game, you should focus on the fun and its story, not that what you find racist. You just create yourself a problem and ruin your enjoyment. Resident Evil 5 was set in Africa with Chris Redfield(who is cleary one of the well-known characters of RE series) and Sheva Alomar as main characters. You just cant except that you find mostly white people in Africa. Also it had a 18+/Mature rating too for a reason. Just as Last of Us or GTAs. And it would be also probably feel racist if they dont put black people in a game that takes place in Africa/or just at all.(just an example for RE5) I dont see an acceptable path to be good in every way, in this case. But making mixed types of enemies the best they can do, and last of us had that and every other game AFAIK.I expected people arguing from this point of view. I understand where you're coming from, but sadly, your perspective is what it is because you've never had to live with the stigma of being an American person of color. The stigma surrounding African Americans is even worse. Many times I'll be out with friends (some of whom are White) and we'll encounter moments of veiled racism that go completely over their heads. Trust me, I'd rather not see it.

It's a problem. I wouldn't say I'm easily offended or thin-skinned to the issue just because I'm writing about it on a forum.

You must not have thoroughly read my post. Resident Evil 5 was a problem because it was a Caucasian guy going Rambo on Africans. If he had been African (or Asian/Hispanic), I would have been cool. WWII games are 99% White people killing White people. And there are plenty of Germans out there bothered by the constant negative portrayal, and association of German people with Nazis as if they're all the same.

I don't like bigots in general, which is why I sided with the Imperials. However, as you say, Elves aren't real and I had little to no reaction. There is a huge difference between my connection to what I describe in my original post and fantasy races.
