Crap, i forgot about that. I'm going to have to redownload like 40 games now, not to mention my saved games.

Yeah, I think I might just save myself $30 and trade in for the slim. You can still swap the hard drive right?A while ago I bought a $500 gig. These new ones are not BC though huh?

I bought my 60 gig PS3 in February 2007, I just froze and turned off a few minutes ago when I was playing Fallout.. Now it only turns on for a couple seconds and flashes yellow right before it turns off. I think it's dead, Sony wants about $200 to fix it, offered me a new slim for $30 less, but I love my original, and they don't make them anymore.

Thoughts?

Western Digital Scorpio Blue 500 GB Bulk/OEM Hard Drive 2.5 Inch, 8 MB Cache, 5400 RPM SATA II WD5000BEVT

Is this hard drive compatible with my launch 60 gig?

Sorry if this is the wrong thread, but I didn't feel this needed a new one.

I believe as long as it is 2.5 you are good to go.

thats correct. you should be fine.

Thank you, both

In the last couple weeks I've gotten Uncharted 2 and Borderlands. Both will give you countless hours of entertainment, but Uncharted 2 will really push the limits of your PS3, phenominal game.
