If you want a new GPU I wouldn't recommend you any less than a GTX 780 or a 290x. You cannot measure performance in a PC based on what the PS4 has in it. The games on console are handtailored for that specific system, which is not the same as your personal computer. I have a GTX 780 OC and is very happy with it, looks a tint sharper than on the PS4 at 1080p. A 600 series or an AMD equalient is a bad investment imo, same with any of the 700 series that ain't implemented with the GK110, everything else is GK104 which is a OC 600 series card with a fresh boxing. So be prepared to pay the price of a console to get a GPU that can truly handle new gen.

I don't know, Breivik suffered from a lot of issues, I don't know what him imagening himself a commander of the templar order, on a holy mission has anything to do with COD, blame Dan Brown lol.
Thanks for the input guys, I don't think I can wait for the new cooling for the AMD cards, and from what you confirm they don't really seem to outperform 780, so I think I will go for the 780 DCUIIOC as mentioned above, my Asus 560 of the same has been a great card and I need a new HDD (making weird noises as we speak) so I'll just order the GPU while I'm at it. So Asus 780 DCUIIIOC new HDD and an SSD it is. Ahhh can't wait!
I use a 50" Plasma LG at 1080p and has done so the past two years, no problem whatsoever. I only notice it if the picture is still over time but it goes away almost immediately. It works for me at least.
So I decided that my gtx 560 finally has to go, and I will need to replace it. I'm leaning towards the GTX 780, since I've been drooling over that since it shipped and now it got a decent drop in price. Only thing I'm worried about is next-gen and how it will perform once the real demanding titles ship out like The Witcher 3 etc. Is there a real advantage in going for the 780ti at all, and will it bottleneck me? What do you think about the R9 290x as an alternative? From what I've gathered it gets pretty hot, but I dunno.
Gaming at 1080p btw
