haha yeah, that's my point also, they could still make a character interesting without revealing every aspect about him through tons of "emotional" cinematic scenes. Then they add some assassinations and tons of useless side-quests. They should go back to less focus on character, more focus on what he truly is through interesting gameplay imo.
True, the second game was good and all but the series turned from an assassin to a florentine aristocrat who became an assassin over night, then to an indian who also becomes an assassin over night, and now to a pirate. It feels like every character after Altair have to discover what they are in addition to their identity instead of being a pure assassin brought up in the creed. I don't want an identity crisis I want an assassin. Next we'll have a rockstar who smashes peoples heads with a guitar but he also have a hidden blade up his sleeve.
Wrong, if they want to make money they'll release it on as many platforms as possible, that is if none of the consolemakers don't cut an exclusive deal that will generate more revenue. GTA V will come on next-gen and PC, their silence sell more on current-gen, and they get free PR and a thank you from the fans who'll buy it, or even better buy it again.
I think this is a constructive and important subject. We all should reflect on our right to have an opinion in a community, what it involves, and how we apply it as a tool in communication. In almost eight years as a registered member I have both watched and probably often participated in letting this culture evolve on the boards. We'll have to start with ourselves, maybe give more thought to how we write and how others interpret our language. The focus should be conversation over discussion, something I myself so often forget.
Thank you for shedding a light of reason on this subject Danny.
What ignorant people don't see is that piracy actually is positive for the consumer, if not prices on games would be much higher. That's not defending piracy, it's common sense.
