I haven't played Mutant Apocalypse, but X-men 2 is considerably better than my other 16-bit super-hero games (GEN X-Men, Spider-man/Kingpin, Batman Forever, Spider-man/X-men arcade's revenge, and Spider-man/venom Maximum Carnage)

My only real gripe with the game is that it instantly throws you in the game the moment you turn it on. What kind of game doesn't have a menu?! :P

Metal Slug. I like the original Contra better than the MS games, but overall I prefer the Metal Slug series. I haven't liked every Contra game I've played, I have metal slug. Also, the Metal Slug games have always been absolutely gorgeous, even to this day. Contra looks good, but no where near what the Neo Geo puts out.

Mario, I never played much of the Crash games; they never really appealed to me. CTR was fun though

Spartan! I forgot about that one; definitely getting it. MK Deception too; always wanted it :3

I have Persona 3 on PSP and love it (haven't played P4 yet; it's still in plastic wrap). I don't want to get every SMT game ever, though. Which ones are best?

Fusionmix

Skip Digital Devil Saga, you need both 1 and 2 to really enjoy it as the first game might as well be a prequel thats whole purpose is to set the second games story up. Devil summoner is good, but honestly I'd skip those too.

Nocturne (aka SMT3) is the "purest" game on PS2 in the series since its truest to the Megaten formula and is the only one on the system that isn't a spin off (although I guess that could be argued against, its not my point). Not saying that its the best, but if you have the Persona games its going to show off the other side of how Megaten games work the best.

I'm not going to say that one is better than the other (all systems have their strengths, and I've always been a multi console kind of person). I will say however the quality of Xbox games have dropped in my eyes with the shutting down of Xbox Live. Of course, when you have friends who are still willing to play these games through system link/XBC it brings the quality right back up for the games that support it.

Also, a large part of the Xbox library is shared with the PC, and a great amount of those games can be bought on steam for much cheaper than their Xbox counterparts (not even considering the massive discounts these types of games get during steam deals). And the PC versions can still be played online.

Just my 2 cents. I love my Xbox and my PS2.

It will never be too late to get a PS2.

That's a little pricey though, either just buy a new one from the store or shop Amazon and/or Ebay.

your weapon skill is too low. Any other type of offensive attack will do the same if your skill is too low (including magic)
