Steam advises that everyone change to a "UN-compatible Windows mode". So, I did! That was the error causing the game to glitch!. Had to delete game. Re-load game. Begin a NEW game. When I got to the glitch in the vent - passed straight through. Guess what I am saying is be very careful when you initiate the UN-compatible Windows mode in Steam.exe - properties. Many of your uploaded games (from your Steam library to your CPU) may not work right!
I have played this game before. Got completely through it with no problems. Playing again! Now I am in the brothel with Knobby. I have been "magically" placed inside him, after I ask if he can get inside a vent. I see what Knobby sees. I get to the part where I can see through the grating on the floor (about 3 meters from the end of the vent). NO MATTER what I do I can not proceed to where I would be able to fall through the vent to the power source - I have not been able to find any Cheat codes for Clipping or I would have used that...HELP PLEASE!
Actually, It's Terminator: Genisys and trailer just came out:
@Born_Lucky: Agreed
@SoNin360: Steam has it as GOTY - http://cdn4.steampowered.com/v/gfx/subs/31292/header_586x192.jpg?t=1381269807
Firstly, Bethesda didn't make Dishonored. They only published it - it was made by Arkane Studios, the guys behind Arx Fatalis and Dark Messiah of Might and Magic.
As for the game itself...ehhh.
I liked that Dishonored borrowed many ideas from Thief 2 (since Thief 2 was an absolute masterpiece), but...I don't know, the new aspects of Dishonored's design just came off as flawed and annoying. The guards felt too stupid and too easy to kill, the upgrades mostly seemed to relate to killing enemies, the few missions that I played were rather dull, and the game generally didn't seem to strike a wonderful balance between combat and stealth options. I found the setting and lore to be really interesting, but I didn't find the characters or story to be interesting at all.
Overall, whenever I tried to play Dishonored, I was just constantly reminded of how excellent Thief 2 was, and felt like playing that game instead. I gave up on it pretty quickly.
*edit* Ninja'd on every point. I completely agree with barrybarryk.
Guess Thief 2 will be my next purchase if you say it is that good. The Blink and Time (stoppage) was new to me. Never had the ability to control rats to kill enemies in any other game - just old fashion, I guess!
I have not seen a game even close to Deus Ex (original) for years. This will be Game of the Year! Highly recomended if you have not tried already!
Everytime I try to log-in, my password is not accespted. This has been happening for about 9 months at least. Consequently, I have to go through the process of having information, to re-set my password, sent to email (daily sometimes). What's up with that?)
