@lrdfancypants: This is not directed at you individually, just putting a comment. I feel like I'm in middle school all over again arguing the SNES vs. Gen. Glad I'm all grown up now. My advice, major in accounting and pass the CPA. You'll always have work even if it is dull:)

@neowarrior793: I have an xbox and gave my ps4 to a buddy. I just like MS game types better and have a very solid pc. I just can't see the one come back this gen. I just hope they learn from this and end up at some sort of profit by the end. Then perhaps they'll come out with a correctly powered machine and actually show up to compete. I think the major issues with gaming period right now is the adverse influence of the mobile platforms. Companies are making so much money there that our game development is slowing. Think about the number of games that have come out thus far this gen vs. last gen. I do hope that it gets a bit better going forward and I do look forward to the bone's game's for the rest of the year. Who knows, maybe I'll luck out and get QB on pc. Honestly, I think it is just a matter of time because I very well know that Remedy never expected the XOne to have such a relatively small install base.
@joshrmeyer: More likely a hardware issue or some kind of software issue. I play FFXIV with absolutely no problems. Another slight problem is the FFXIV is not supported by Steam Os.
@mesome713: Here's the thing, the Steam OS is based on Linux. They have a looong way to go before they have the amount of games available that windows based pcs do. If you wish to buy one of these things, it would be better to assemble your own and dual boot windows and steam os. Then you can have both and determine what you like better. I quickly did a search and there are 1,187 games that are confirmed to work with the OS. That number is absolutely dwarfed by what is available on windows.
@joshrmeyer: We can play anything through the Wii era at least through emulation, but no there are no Mario games actually released. We get plenty of games that cater to our interest and the vast majority of third party releases. I don't know a single pc gamer that wants for games. In fact most of us have a rather large backlog.
@crxuchilbara: They do actually quite fine on some things. However, as I stated originally in this thread somewhere, in cpu limited situations, such as large complicated open world games. That cpu can be a very big liability. The Witcher 3 is perfect example. After 8 or so patches the game still bottoms out at 20 fps at times on PS4. Obviously, this is a cpu issue. With the graphics card in the machine it should be able to maintain 30 consistent fps at optimized settings. Listen, I don't hate consoles, I just hate the choices that were made regarding the hardware of this generation of consoles. When the 360 was released it was actually more powerful than the majority of gaming pcs at the time. This time around, they are obviously demonstratively weaker.
The point I'm trying to make is that we will all suffer in terms of the scope of and quality of games for this entire generation due to these unbalanced systems.
@flyincloud1116: 1.6 ghz AMD Jag CPU, AMD RADEON 7870 clocked at 800 mhz (2012). You know these new consoles would've been just fine if they had to spent a bit more on the cpu portion of the apu.
@Thanatos2k: Out of all the people that the word misogynistic is lobbed at these days, I would most certainly say that Trump is most deserving of that label. In fact, I don't even think his misogynist behavior is even debatable at this point, just a simple fact regarding who he was and is.
