Pretty mad at Sony's lack of BC on the PS4, as it's the only Sony console I've ever owned and there are lots of games in their backlog I would love to play that aren't available at the moment. I really want to get a Vita for that purpose.

@Ovirew: In terms of sheer breadth of content, abso-fucking- lutely. My first time beating the game I clocked in at 92 hours, only getting settlements up to 3 stars. There is an astounding amount of content here, between the individual area quests (loads for each new Titan you explore (there are a whole bunch of them in this game not just 2)) and the character/ Blade quests, it'll keep you very busy if you want some bang for your buck. Mechanically, its battle system is superficially similar, but this game is all about building up to super attacks, whereas the first was more about chaining combos. It takes a while to get used to, that's for sure. But if you really want to squeeze every drop out of this game, you're in for a long playtime. That's not even including NG+, which adds even more skills for characters to unlock as well as new Rare Blades (essentially weapons, but that's grossly oversimplifying what a Blade is in this universe).

So yeah, long story short, if you're looking for a similarly massive amount of content as the first game, 2 definitely has you covered, even without the season pass.

The story for Xenoblade 2 is really good as long as you like Shonen style storytelling. Cool lore and world building. The story DLC is solid, too. But I would recommend playing through the main game first.

@Ovirew: No problem man, I find it harder and harder these days to find time to post. I try and do reviews of games I really enjoy or have a strong opinion on. And yeah, there's a very, very heavy Souls influence in Hollow Knight in terms of structure, storytelling, and challenge. The actual gameplay is generally a lot more fast paced, though. I loved it personally.

@doctor_mg: The bike IS a lot of fun... The problem is I've done almost everything I want to do in the game (all shrines, armor, etc.). And yeah, there's only one new boss in the DLC and to be fair it's a good fight... It's just getting to it feels redundant at times.

@doctor_mg: Personally, I'd go with a 7/10 at most, maybe a 6. There is some great new stuff in the form of the Trials and new Shrines, but there's also a LOT of recycled content in the form of the boss refights, the armor is useless late game since they can't be upgraded, and the new story stuff is nice but hardly required to enjoy the game. I don't regret purchasing it, but it feels like Nintendo cut a lot of corners with the DLC than they did with the main game.

The thing I loved about the first (in addition to the story, music, characters, and environments) is that the battle system felt deep without being so complex you need a spread sheet to figure things out. It seems that they might have gone overboard with the combat features in this one. That's fine, though, I'm still excited to play it.

Best of luck to you. Shitty jobs are always better if you at least like a few of the people there
