See you say that you know what it is, but your third sentence shows that you clearly don't lol. You are mistaking white privilege for an excuse people use when their life isn't going smoothly and thats a big but common mistake. White privilege does exist, acknowledging that doesn't mean you support the people who use it as an excuse for why they arent successful. You seem to only be thinking about this as if all privileges have to be a huge advantage when they don't.

Privilege of good upbringing and character is clearly not a myth and it is a much bigger privilege then white privilege, but they both exist at the same time. Saying one exists doesn't discredit the other lol. The most common race in any country in today's world almost always has some sort of privilege and denying its existence makes little sense when the evidence is everywhere.

From what you wrote here, the only one who does not understand white privilege is you. Again it´s like those racist people who stand up and say the mexicans are coming and stealing their jobs, it´s the same kind of moronic excuse. Or when people claim successful women slept their way to the top.

It´s the same kind of mentality , so White privilege is indeed a myth.

White Privilege is not a myth and I can quantify it for you.

Public educated is paid for via property taxes. families of ex slaves did not have the income or the social connections to rise thus the property value stayed low and so did the quality of the schools which then makes the cycle multi-generational

the other possiblity is that they are indeed genetically inferior. I dont agree with that, but its the only other possiblity I can think of

What you are referring to there has nothing to do with white privilege

Again you are trying to place social-economics into a box and put a race-label on it. When facts show that the main reason is the upbringing and the character not race.

yes that absolutely is white privilege.

if gives me a huge leg up because of my white background...absolutely and I never said I was not a racist. most people are despite them not knowing it.

But my question to you is this, why do you think black communities dont do as well? a non-answer to my question there will tell me far more then you might be aware

OP:

For me its when they lie that is the deal breaker for me.

That said, in real life I have zero tollerance for political conversation with them. I cut it off immediately and politely say no to the conversation.

I thought anyone who voted for Bush Jr. was a certifiable moron, so this (Trump) is unacceptable in the area of conversation for me in real life anyway. i can vent here

So I take it you don't understand what it is either. Your first part of the sentence is correct but then you went downhill.

Of course i know what it is, and again it´s a myth.

What is however not a myth is the privilege of good upbringing and character. You make your own luck, it´s not predetermined based on race today.

Sadly white privilege is a concept that many people wont get. Be it because of the name, the assumption of guilt (or, applied guilt by some people) or be it because they're simply stupid.

White privilege is no more a thing than female privilege or black privilege or Asian , it´s a made up myth that people use because they want to place blame for their own shortcomings.

why do you think things are not working out very well for black people?

We don’t know how the Xbox One X is doing per se, but I think we can safely assume that it’s not selling more than the Switch is right now. Looking at games like Zelda, and the new Xeboblade, the graphics look like something from last gen. But the games are actually fun, and having them available on the go is a huge plus. Then there’s games like Mario, which are beautiful, but the graphics are not complex. Nothing to really brag about. Yet the game gets praise from critics and fans and is one of the year’s best. So what do you say, SW? Is Switch proof that gamers don’t really care that much about graphics? Do you care about graphics?

no...not proof anymore than RimWorld is proof

White privilege is a made up idea to use as a tool against people. It's just racism.

It has been skewed to serve certain racist agendas, yes, but white privilege is very real.

This is the best, least offensive-to-right-wing-snowflakes analogy I can find and, as a tall person (who is also white), it made some sense to me.

Basically, if you are tall, you shouldn't feel bad about it. It doesn't mean that, because only you can reach the top shelf due to your natural attributes, you don't not deserve what is on the top shelf; you go ahead and take what you wan! But it also means that short people do not not deserve what's on the top shelf, too, but they need help. And as a tall person, it is your duty to A.) acknowledge this, and B.) help when you can.

You can't just go "short people don't exist, if they work hard they can reach the top of the shelf. My dad was short and he did just fine!" because that is nonsense.

What a load of BS.

So what you suggest is that we discriminate based on some made up nonsense about race.

And in your example, the short person does not need help to reach the top shelf, they need to learn how to reach it by themselves. And most do.

The biggest problem America faces is that 12% of our population is demanding special treatment and if they don´t they start to cry racism , and have you ever wondered why we do not hear similar complaints or see movements from most Hispanics, Asians or most other races.

and why do you think they are asking for special treatment?

and again, racism is not the issue, the vast majority of people are racist. its what ACTIONS that are taken based on that racism that matters.

There are two problems at the moment.

1. Content.

2. and understanding that the best use of VR is actually narrative story telling.

deep content needs to be created, we can only pop heads in an arcade for so long.

I want to lay down on the couch, plug in and watch a movie streaming. It really should not be that hard to do.

that is a pretty good example that might work for them.

My self having spent a few days (literally just a few) with a black person, I can say discrimination for access is very real, police pulling blacks over more then whites for no reason is very real.

Racism is not the problem, most people are racist to varying degree regardless of if they know it or not.

The question is about the actions taken based on racist views.

slavery vs not shopping at whitey store.

What immigrates suffered when coming to this country more than a 100 years ago pales in comparison to what blacks suffered more than 100 years ago
