Capcom, please, PLEASE ask Vanillaware to revive some of your properties such as Ghouls N' Ghosts, Magic Sword, Area 88, Final Fight. These guys are visually to modern 2d games what Capcom were in the 16 bit days.

@Snakepond1 I agree. It's a DECENT game and all and not ugly but it isn't Contra no matter that it intends to serve as a side story. I'd say the best thing would be to take Super Contra as a model and make it HD but still 2D. I don't mean a remake or something that only does what the previous games did either but takes what has gone before and actually adds to it or redefines it.

Oh awesome! Now that this announcement has finally been made, I can buy an X-Box One with a good feeling that I'm getting the best video game experience for my money like EVER!!!!!! Note: that was at least half sarcastic. While I'd much prefer to get an X-Box again as opposed to a PS4, M$ has a LOT of proving to do before I would seriously consider them a viable option again. I can't say I blame the trolls for chiming in here either after all the BS that M$ has flung at us the last few months.

@blazin640 But the thing is some games were well designed to stand the test of time but the graphics and sound did not. I have thus far never played Duck Tales nor had any great desire to before this version was announced. I still find the idea to take what worked before and give it a nice shiny new paint job to be valid, even if I don't like the game in question. For years I had hoped that such a thing would happen with a game like Strider, which seems to have finally happened, maybe that will turn out well, maybe it won't. The post's point isn't invalid either but I think what it comes down to is there ARE many new ideas being put out, why isn't there room for both the happily familiar and the new and creatively experimental?

@number004 @vI_DigiTaL_Iv Seriously, this should be more than just a comment. All of what you say makes total sense. It echoes how many of us feel about the situation and everything that you described happened pretty much precisely how you described it.

I think there is a point here. This IS a very disruptive time for gaming. Games are supposed to be a stress relief and relatively pleasant, innocent distraction. Right now, there are so many things being interlaced with gaming that it's no longer quite that pure. The one company that is still focused on pure gaming is the most maligned at the moment, which is a quite a thing in light of Microsoft and their X-Box One needing a consistent connection to Kinect and the (possibly) paranoid view towards it. Sony SEEMS to be back on the rise but even they are more multimedia than pure gaming oriented, and while I think Nintendo is being maligned unfairly, it isn't as though they haven't been draconian in some of their own practices in the past both towards denying consumers what they wanted and by having very strict standards for their third party devs. Here I am wishing Sega hadn't totally screwed themselves over with horrible decisions in the 90s.

@thedemon44 @Tribesmaster @BradBurns Brave was actually pretty good. Sorry if it didn't appeal to you, not all "good" movies are liked by everyone. Nor are all "bad" movies hated by everyone.

@number004 @Lokusasu I think that comment above can be read: I could not care less so therefore don't buy that which I do not care about, it'll only encourage Nintendo to keep producing things I don't want others to have.

@DVONvX @Dezuria @DoctorDoom666 I'd be more inclined to say the same. I've loved the first two B-Boxes but, no at best this brings Sony a step closer to looking as bad as M$, not making M$ look better. They are STILL looking better than XBO by a LONG shot, this news notwithstanding.
