@BLaverock I was thinking recently how awesome it would be if they rebooted him, so this would essentially serve that end without the Mega Man name or baggage.

@lorider25 @topherlee94 @shantyshocker Hello, not trying to start trouble here, though I'd guess some are, I'm simply saying it looks kinda cool and as the original creator, I'd like to see where this goes rather than put him down for trying. Many good games over the years WERE knockoffs, in fact many great movies got off the ground starting as something else entirely. Star Wars was initially envisioned as a modernization of Flash Gordon but Lucas couldn't get the rights. I think we ALL know how that turned out for Lucas. Maybe this will turn out similarly, maybe it won't. Bet it ends up being a fun game though :)

@lorider25 @shantyshocker That's right, it's HIS problem, not yours, and that also means that it's in the creator's right to handle it as needed, not yours. Personally, I'm just glad that he's making the attempt considering how Capcom would likely stonewall him on pitching it to them. My guess though is that if he gathers enough cash to get this going, Capcom will either stonewall the project or offer up money to convert to being an actual Mega Man game.

@shantyshocker @lorider25 I hate to put people down but yeah that comment was a bit clueless sounding. Megaman has been a cash cow for Capcom regardless of how they've treated it of late.

@lorider25 Yeah, okay, as though Capcom will sell it back that easily. Pretty sure the name is a smack back at them for stopping MM's evolution at number 8 back in 1997 and then going 8 bit retro for 9 and 10. Looks pretty cool actually.

My 2 cents. Nintendo, you guys have awesome games and interesting innovations in hardware. That said, WTF!?! Why is it always a trade off? You don't get to call everyone else "meh" when you have a lineup that seems like it redefines "meh". Seriously, it seems like a reply of Gamecube in terms of feel. Gamecube had some really awesome stuff but it always felt muffled and underpowered. Underpowered? Not so bad, but muffled? Not so great at all.

Honestly, I was a young adult when the original released. I never played it before. Even having access to an emulated copy, it never gave me much thought to trying it. I saw pics a while back though so I tried it out and then tried to check out the original. I understand why I never tried it before. The game is kind of slow compared to many other games from the time. The newer version didn't hold my interest much either but I thought it was worlds better than the original.

@Anfuerudo While I like Nintendo games better than many others, I think Fils-Aime is full of himself mostly. It seems there's always a trade off to go with the big N.

Digital copy or physical copy this is a good idea. I'm not in the market to buy one at the moment and I still have a love/hate relation going with my X-Box but this is looking REALLY tempting. Had the original ten years ago and thought it was awesome but in need of better resolution. On another point, I find it hilarious that this is clearly a Panasonic plasma TV and they had to block off the logo, it's the exact model I have no less.

@Mosíah Fernandes Honestly, while I wasn't a huge fan of any of the 3d Catlevania games I've tried, personally the only "Metroidvania" I liked was SOTN and still prefer the NES, SNES, and WiiWare versions, though SOTN was still pretty awesome.
