Haven't been on this site for a long time. Just logged in to laugh at how bad this review is and read the comments. I get it, gamespot doesn't like RPGs, but this is hilarious.
Have fun talking politics instead of games. Later and unsubscribed this site from my email list bc of this review.
@Pierce_Sparrow: I would say critics are generally out of touch with the general public when it comes to movies. Look how many movies are critically acclaimed that people never care to even watch. I can't blame critics though. If it is your JOB to watch and analyze movies, it must make you jaded to see the same type of things over and over again in movies. Whereas the general public typically just wants something to escape reality in a fun way for a few hours and doesn't watch anywhere NEAR as many movies as a critic would, and watching a movie certainly doesn't feel like "work" to the average movie goer.
LOL @ the critics calling this "fan service". The Star Wars fanbase has been split into several different factions, especially after TLJ. What Rise of Skywalker seems to do is tick off every one of those factions. This movie somehow manages to disappoint every fanbase. It rewrites and undoes the first 6 episodes as well as episode 8. It has an unhappy ending for every character and leaves Star Wars fans unsatisfied, frustrated, and angry.
@der_freischutz: I'm certainly open to watching great movies, some of my favorites were made WELL before Marvel started making films. Please list some movies that you think were some of the best of 2018-19 and I'll check them out.
Dude is a mid 70's New Yorker, pretentious and arrogant are almost a given.
The Marvel superhero movies are the best thing Hollywood has put out in a long time. Connected, cohesive storylines over 20+ movies and some TV shows (that has never been done before). Some people hate on CGI, but it takes some serious ARTISTIC talent to pull it off like Marvel does, as well as those sound effects. Marvel usually puts out fun movies that are usually well paced and have well timed comedic lines in a story with fun action.
Even if that isn't your cup of tea, I'm not sure he should be hating on Marvel, as much as the rest of Hollywood for pumping out crap lately.
Personally I never wanted another online multiplayer game, especially from Bethesda, who does single player games so well. Now they want to sell players more for another $100. LOL, no.
I am looking forward to the next Elder Scrolls, but it's been WAY too long since Skyrim was originally released.
