Indeed if Gamespot wants to be considered a credible source for gaming news and reviews then they seriously need to improve things as far as being biassed goes.
Polls like these reflect a poor level of journalism. i hope for Gamespot's sake that things do change as this site has a lot of great things about it, especially the forum community (minus the trolls and fanboys ofcourse).
We all have to take it easy now. If you go in the System wars by now there going to be topics like "pack you bags cows" etc. Halo 3 i can asure you will be one of the biggest hits of all time and possibly one or THE best FPS of all time and that 9.5 is proof for it but that doesnt mean we should literally pack our bags(ps3) and move on to the 360 because 360 doesnt have wat the PS3 has, if you look at the 360 you can clearly see its sucess is based on Halo 3, but when you look at the PS3 its sucess is based on a whole library of games. Along the road there is bound to be game that is to be a hit and all the Sony asks us of now is patience though they have disspointed us many times but by the end of this year you will justify your purchase of the Ps3 with Uncharted, Haze, Ratchet, UT3, Folklore, Warhawk, Heavenly Sword, and much more. So no need to argue with these ppl, there main point is not that Halo is gonna be awesome fun, but that the PS3 is a failure. So all you need to do is stay quiet have fun with wat u have and hype games like Uncharted, R&C, UT3 because Killzone 2 is far off and i dont think that its demo will tell u if its a "Halo Killer". So sit back and relax and watch these guys brag for wat they have and secretly grieve for wat they will never have. hashimgillani1

As everoyne else here is saying i would recommend CoH for sure.
With CoH no game is the same. Where CnC is more about spamming one or two units (generally) CoH requires a lot more thought in playing like using cover, building units to counter your oppenents etc. CoH is simply has much more depth than CnC3. I was a fan of RA2 and the older CnC games but ever since CoH CnC games pale in comparison in terms of enjoyabilty.
Ps. don't forget to buy Opposing fronts when it comes out !!
Without a doubt the X1950XT would pwn the 8600GT. Whiel the 8600GT has direct X 10 capabilities it is severly limited by its 128 bit interface. You will easily be able to run games like bioshock on high settings with the 1950XT (as long as the rest of your system is good decent).
Even the cheaper X1950pro would be a very good choice. If you are gonna buy now and not wait for the slim possibilty of further mid-range cards then go for the X1950XT or pro.
Hey the x300 can run no problem smoothly on low settings on 800x600 and max view distance (this is a must for bf2).
As far as the best card a x800 or anything above such as a x1600 or 1800 or even a 2900 for overkill will run it very ver well in a higher resolution on high settings
