@Tiwill44: so we made an "uninformed decision"? where were we told that, a little over 2 years past release, we would be getting a console with better specs?
don't get me wrong, on paper this is a really cool idea and something i would have liked: you buy a console, you're able to swap out components with upgrades at a slight upgrade cost, and games would have two graphic settings depending on what components you have. But what sony is doing is making you buy an entirely new console. if they have some kind of deal where you can trade in your normal PS4 and pay a bit more, then fine. but i sincerely doubt that's going to happen
in all honesty there are so many GOTY awards going out that the title is almost meaningless lol. I know Undertale won several GOTY awards, beating Witcher 3
@Cruxis27: I thought the same thing at first, but apparently both birthright and conquest are the size of awakening. which was about a 30 hourish game in one playthrough. you buy one version for 40 dollars, get the other version for half off. so 60 dollars for a 60 hour game? that isn't too unreasonable.
I think Revelation is meant more as an expansion pack, but i could be wrong
@slappy54: Witcher 3 had some really good side quests and characters. but the rest of the game was just kind of...meh.
Good example is in the Hearts of stone DLC. I loved the villain in it but, other than that, the story just felt dull to me. the wedding part was especially boring to me, and this is coming from a guy who did every little thing in the Winter Palace mission in Dragon age inquisition
ever since party chat was invented, it feels like less and less people talk in rooms anyway. so I don't think this'll really change much. I've played numerous battlefield 4 games while not in party, will mention "does anyone have a mic" and never get a response.
So yeah, it seems like it would be an easy thing to add in but this won't effect my experience at all. had a lot of fun with the beta, a lot more than i thought i would, so i'll be getting it day one
@mrdinghat: As horrible as a game unity was, they didn't make it feel tedious (at least anymore so than other AC games) despite it having microtransactions
