A hybrid console/handheld that seamlessly transitions between the two states. Powerful enough hardware to keep up with PS5/X2 but still be easy to develop for third parties. It needs an online system that works. It needs a storage solution that is faster than the competition. It needs all the current and future third parties. It needs third party exclusives. It needs first party games that are relevant to more than just the Nintendo hardcore and the casual consumer.

They need to embrace a new touchscreen technology. They need to modernize in so many ways.

Unless another surprise happens similar to Splatoon, Xenoblade CX is going to be a slow performer.

It is a niche title on a system that is catatonic in hardware and software sales near the end of its life cycle.
