Kudos to these devs for at least attempting to address the issues people are having. I read way too many stories from people who have purchased buggy games that are then abandoned in that state never to receive any patches whatsoever.

@Yams1980: Games are more than just drawing graphics. Keeping track of dozens / hundreds of units at a time requires computational power too.

@Foxhound71: I like PlayStation Now. $20 bucks per month for unlimited access to a library of hundreds of games ain't bad. And it'll be really cool if they start offering PS2 / PS4 / PSOne games.

@ogre302: "They" (the developers) decide whether they want to put in the work to make their games play on the XBOX ONE. I suppose if they believe there are enough additional sales to be had, they'd do it.

"Back in November, Microsoft said it is holding discussions with all major publishers and developers to possibly bring their games to the program. However, the decision about whether or not a game is added to the lineup ultimately comes down to individual publishers."

And despite clearly pointing this out, the fanboys jump head-first into the comments to complain that their favorite XBOX 360 game isn't in the list while blaming Microsoft.

I fully understand why manufacturers would decide against attempting anything this ambitious in the future. You can't win with nerds. You just can't win.

@computernoises: That sounds like throttling from your Internet service...or Wi-Fi issues. Ethernet is always preferable for streaming anything more complex than HD video.

People who want backwards compatible consoles to play old games (which they probably no longer own) sound like the folks who said that Netflix was foolish for investing in streaming technology rather than more mailing centers for their discs. Even worse, they sound like the folks who said that CDs would always be preferable to MP3s...

Obviously Microsoft is always concerned about the competition, but I sincerely doubt that their current moves with the XBOX ONE S or unified cross-platform gaming are in direct response to any particular thing Sony is doing. The things that Microsoft is doing now have probably been in the pipeline since the release of the XBOX ONE, before the PS4 established a huge sales lead over the XBOX ONE and before the announcement of the PS4 Neo.

Definitely a racist intro. This wasn't made in slightly-less-racist 2016 USA, it was made in 1980s Japan. Stop being politically correct and call it what it is.
