Yes, I am excited about both remakes. It's about damned time, to be frank. The only problem is I do not own a PS3 or Vita, so it seems bizarre in my mind to purchase either for the remake of games I still have for the PS2. Plus with the PS4 coming up... ya...
I didn't expect them to freely add content like an mmo. I just expected more for $60. Also, this game is not as flexible for the users as its predecessor. The lack of a lobby system alone just guts the experience significantly for me personally.
RE 6, check. Doom BFG, check. Tekken Tag Tournament 2, check. Dead or Alive 5... hm, I'm not sure. This may (understandably) sound ridiculous, but I strongly hope that Final Fantasy XIV's remake turns out well. Separately, I want to play Persona 4 Golden but buying a Vita seems hard to justify.
Diablo 3 was one of the biggest letdowns ever for me in terms of games. The story in particular was so terrible that I could not bear playing through it again after the first difficulty. Fortunately, I played in the TL 2 beta and enjoyed it thoroughly, so I eagerly await its release.
I would say go for it, but I am quite biased. My suggestion to you is just to make sure you've thought over this decision. It's not exactly a life-altering decision either way, though.
That's interesting. I felt just the opposite when I played it at the game store. It was impressive. The only complaint that comes to mind might be the size of the console as a whole, but that's minor. The graphics were excellent. Having two analog sticks was definitely appealing. The screen is exactly what I wanted.
