@beastmode: Very naive to think. Apple has lots of money to throw around at devs if they ever get serious - they would easily get support. Unlike a lot of commenters, Devs/Publishers won't stay loyal to typical consoles companies because they are not fanboys, they just follow the money.
@wolf503: lol so you give devs a few months to work on optimization in what is essentially an early beta or even Alpha? I'm not trying to give the devs an easy pass, but the general workflow of game development is complete all initial features of a game, and work on optimization last - because you can't make big optimizations then go back and change things and risk breaking your optimizations - because then it's just even more wasted time. With their surprising success they are probably making their game bigger than anticipated and have plenty of cash so they don't have to rush things.
