Ive just bought a bluetooth wireless headset and started scanning for bluetooth accesories, its been scanning for about 10 minutes and nothing has happened - still scanning. Has anyone else encountered this issue? If so is there a solution? I have the latest system update installed incase it has anything to do with it.

I read an article on securevista.net and it states that vista limits the incomplete/syn packets connection attempts pers second that the system can make.

Does this mean essentially, our downloads on vista will be slower?

Could someone clarify this a little bit more for me? maybe know of a solution also?

Intel Core 2 Duo range is what id reccomend for a new processor, and the x1950xt is the better card there. Though only DX9 if that makes a difference to you?

No, also a little piece of advice is to install the CPU and HSF before mounting it in to the case it makes life easier.

I'd like some opinions on the cost effectiveness of an upgrade. I have an AMD socket 939 A64 3500 and was considering going to an A64x2 4200 for $79 before AMD stops making 939s.

My current system is an A64 3500, 2GB DDR 400 (4 x 512), 6800GS, 250GB hd.

I game at 1280x1024 (HL2, UT2004, FEAR, etc). I'd like toplay Supreme Commander, Company of Heroes,Oblivion, Bioshock, and HL2:ep2.I alsohave been considering an upgrade to Vista. Is dual core worth $79 right now in those applications, or would I be better off putting that $79 into a total system rebuild in a year or so? Would it be a worthwhile upgrade if I popped in a 8800too?

well eventually youre gonna have to rebuild and s939 is already dead, so i wouldnt think its worthwhile upgrading it. unless youre on a budget.
