my problem with this review is not the final score, it's the lack of actual criticism or critique. it comes off more of an analysis of the dead rising franchise than a review. i played the original, it's pretty much as you've described this game. the problem is that this review literally tells me nothing i wouldn't of already known by just looking at the title... as for stuff i would mention about dr3; the graphics look 5-6 years out of date and(on xbone)it suffers from an inconsistent framerate, the aiming system is improved from its predecessors but far from perfect, the story is too silly to be scary, and the city doesn't feel much more open-world than a shopping mall.
it's obvious a lot of effort went into this redesign but it's simply too much. i'm pretty console-oriented and as a result i haven't updated my rig since about 2007 or 2008. this design has made gamespot the most laggy choppy, and slowest website i frequent. my first attempt to login gave me a 404 page. i searched for an older game, manhunt, and it took a half a minute to load the page(and i have 35mbs dl speed). it needs a lot of work and i'll probably stop browsing because it's a headache on my computer.
