[QUOTE="bulletsword"]wouldn't i still need to actually log into xbox live? I'm talking about not connecting to Live at all
Dabbagins

Yes you can play with your gamertag offline and get achievements. You do not have to be signed into xbox live to earn achievements from the games you play. But here is the scary part, if you never sign in with your offline profile to xbox live even with a silver account then microsoft will never have your updated profile information. Which means if something happens to your harddrive and hopefully nothing will ever happen then you will not be able to recover your gamertag onto a new console. Hope I didn't get too confusing. I'm talking about saving your achievements. Once you sign into xbox live microsoft will save your achievements for you automatically including your saved games, gamertag and gamerscore.

Thanks I'm a newbie to and you answered both of my questions. Add me guys on Xbox live MidNiteNinjaSpy

I use to want to be a game tester until i did my research on it. I kinda still do.

It's mostly looking for bugs and you have to have good speaking and writing skills.

http://videogames.lovetoknow.com/wiki/Video_Game_Testers

What's It All About?

A lot of people assume you simply plug in, play a great game, and write down any flaws you see. They find a single bug and think they have the chops to test. Unfortunately, it's not that easy.

The role of a tester is essentially to find bugs and report them. It's a rigorous, structured, high-pressure role that requires good writing skills, an essential understanding of where the problems are coming from, and diplomacy in reporting problems to the development staff - people who are under a similarly Sisyphean load of work and are understandably reluctant to hear about bugs and additional work that must be performed.

Testers adhere to a plan developed by the test lead - the general on the battlefield of killing bugs. The plan illustrates how the team will tackle the game's flaws, dividing the tasks and sending the most eyes to the worst areas. Some testers will play the game like a consumer. Some will play the game using knowledge and software that only the development team has access to. Some will spend weeks only testing the UI - the menus, game save, and game load functions. (Sound like fun?) Some will spend weeks checking the game on different combinations of video cards, processors, and memory (if it's a PC game).

And don't forget - the game is buggy, ugly, half-finished. The testers sometimes have to bend over backwards just to get it to run. And there's no guarantee a tester will get to test a game that will EVER be fun... there are a lot of bad games out there. It's tough to test a game for a year knowing it will never be enjoyable.

O love my new psp. I don't want to sound like a commercial but it great for when your'e traveling on long trips out of town . It also can be use for a GPS if you buy a GPS receiver. However i must agree on one thing sony is not releasing enough games for it. Every week i check in for new games and nothing comes up.

I wanted to paint my console a certain color but i wasn't sure if it was possible. I don't really want a skin to place on top of it .

I want to keep the shiny look of the console .I just want it a different color for the new Xbox360 and PS3 i plan on getting.

I found this site called ColorWare

http://www.colorwarepc.com/c-19-consoles.aspx?gclid=CIT1-OSU7JUCFQZinAodJnhEfg

They say that they paint almost every game system and it looks pretty good from what I seen.

What do you guys think? Do you want a green or yellow Xbox360? Can I trust this Website with my system?

I thought i bring this thread back since you guy gamers like to make fun.

I decide to buy both consoles an Xbox 360 and PS3. Not at the same time. I will save up for the xbox360 pro first since my friends have one wait awhile for more games to come out for PS3 and then save for a ps3.

I want to play Gears of war and Call of duty since a guy told me I couldn't.

Oh and the DS will have to wait to. I guess I can wait for KH 358/2days and Birth by Sleep on the PSP. Kingdom Hearts chain of memories is now released on my ps2.

I'm planning to buy myself one of these systems, but am mostly interested in RPGs. I believe Xbox360 has the most at the moment, but if that's going to change in the future, then i'll take that into account. If you could name some RPGs on the consoles that are already out or coming out that are good, that'd be great! Or just throw in your two cents ;)barkera0

I was gonna ask this question and name it "put in your two cents" ....you like read my mind.

but anyway ...I'm the same way I play mostly Role playing games to and the PS3 has

Virtual Fighter 5 (also on xbox360), Tekken 6 ,Final Fantasy XI (X360) and Soulcalibur IV (PS3) .
