No. And do the 20 GB HDD even work with the 4 GB 'S' models? KC_Hokie
If you swap the case.

I have had mine for UNDER A YEAR.......and i have expirienced my first problem with it....

Strangely, it is not the console itself, but the Power Supply Brick. this thing started making grinding noises like a buzz saw for like a month. now my slim wont stay on for more than 30 min. until shutting down automatically.

Luckily, still under warranty, and will be replaced by microsoft.... but still.... annoying as hell none the less.

NOTE: I am currently on my 5th XBOX.... I think their hardware is garbage for the most part, because I have had HDD failures, to power supply failures, to just RROD......So i have been through it all...... On a side note though...I LOVE MY FRUXXIN XBOX... make no mistake. But it has costed me THOUSANDS in just hardware alone. The new slims run Quieter, and cooler, so they are prone to less problems.... and I think overall they are perfecting the design for the most part...but its the END of the console's life cycle now. getting a slim is worth it though.... its sexy.

om3g4_prim3

well that sucks...but overall their better than the older models. wouldnt you agree? Oh and if its the power brick issue, why dont you just go on ebay and find a new power brick....?

I own a 4gig slim, and the only complaint is the lack of memory, which can be easily avoided by buying a 250 gig. The slims overheat sometimes from overuse, but only if you use the darn thing 4 hours straight playing from the disc drive. never happened to me. you wont get RRoD, you get built in wifi, and the system is overall quieter. i think it would be smart to get the slim.

Buy a Slim and you won't need cooling mods

Blueresident87
This. The chances of you screwing up the xbox are a lot bigger than something going wrong if you just go and buy a slim that doesnt have RRoD and cooling problems.

An original Xbox 360 20GB hard drive will not fit the Slim models.

octobermagic

yes, but If you take the hdd out of the case it will fit just fine. I have done this myself and there are plenty of youtube videos on how to do it out there.

Yup exactly what I did this past weekend. Brought a 20gig from games stop for like $22 and watched a youtube video on how to install it on the slim. Works like a charm.

I actually found an actual slim 20 gig hard drive on eBay. It's an off brand model, but it good good feedback.

what I mean is, you may down load arcade games, map packs and your hdd will fill up. You would have to delete games, to make room for new games. It really depends on your user habits and how much you down load. You can fill up the 20gig hdd quick just down loading demos, I didn't mean it would break or anything. You can get by just fine with a 20gig hdd, but most people would recommend getting a bigger hdd. If you get a bigger hdd you will never worry about hdd space, just makes things easier in the long run.gagit811
Ok, thanks.

its enough to down load a few things but in the long run not enough. I got my son a 4gig slim for xmas, I thought it would be enough for him because he never played on live or DL anything. Well he was complaining about not having enough hdd space, So i took apart my 120gig hdd from my busted elite it works great. I recommend going bigger if you can, but you can get by with a 20gig hdd.gagit811
When you say in the long run, like how long will a 20gig last me?

Hey guys, i just bought a 4gb xbox 360 slim, and 4gig is really not enough. I found a 20gig hard drive dirt cheap on ebay, but will 20 gig be enough? If not, whats a good amount (meaning i wont have loads and loads of extra space that i wont know what to do with)?
