No Half Life 3, Portal 3 or L4D3 at E3 2012If anybody hasn't seen this yet, its dissapointing news for people like myself who was expecting something of a HL3 announcement at E3 this year, people were calling fake at first but there appears to be sufficient evidence that it is real in the link. Thoughts?

[QUOTE="supras989"]

In a year we'll have forgotten about this :P, and is it reallyyy such a big deal, if you are using a card that old than I highly doubt they would have much success running tomorrows games anyway, if it means they can dedicate more time to developing better support for the cards the majority of us use then go for it.

Gambler_3

The 4890 is a very powerful card and will play games with ease until the new xbox and playstation come.

Haha yeah I don't doubt they can still play games but I'm more talking about tomorrows games. I have been using my 8800GT lately because my 5970 is off getting replaced, and nowadays its quite an old card and struggles with a number of modern titles, in BF3 it has to have everything set to low, I mean absolutely everything, and even then it only pulls 35 fps avg. So my point being, these old cards are quickly losing the potential to run modern titles, so in my opinion if there isn't going to be future support and bug fixing for future titles, I don't see it as that big of an issue. Just my 2 cents, not looking to stir up anything :)

My 8800GT was able to run these games perfectly fine at high settings. You don't need anything even remotely resembling an expensive card.

This, I'm using my 8800 GT as we speak and it runs all those games fine, althouughh I did have to turn a couple of settings down in MW3 suprisingly.

All those games aren't very intensive at all, anything like a 9800GT or above will run these games no sweat. You shouldn't have to spend much.

Either you like it or you don't, I enjoy it but I don't get swept up into any groups or anything, my enjoyment is my own, and I don't call myself a 'brony', it's just a cartoon that I happen to enjoy, among many others, the episodes often have some good messages to them that I think anybody can learn from regardless of age even if they may be a little bit nieve because life is never so simple, the characters are unique and there is good chemistry amongst all of them which creates an entertaining viewing experience, top notch voice talent and some very nice slick animations.

Also the age range is much wider than what people often think.
