I want someone to tell me what factors caused the Gamecube to lose to the Xbox with hype from the N64

Samslayer

I can only speak of my personal reasons.......

but for me the reason WAS the N64. Simply put, the N64 was horrid, and completely soured me on Nintendo.

the N64 had a terrible library for me, with no rpgs, no shmups, and no horror/mature type titles.
when the NGC launched, I honestly expected it to be much the same as the N64, so I didn't buy one (got one after the fact)

Basically, had the N64 not been so rubbish, I would have stayed on board with Nintendo, but by the time the PS2/NGC/Xbox gen came around, the previous gen had converted me away from Ninty

I'd have to agree with you. I really lost interest with Nintendo with the N64. Sony was just rocking the world the last two generations I just really had no reason to get a gamecube.

You guys are **** the n64 was so much better than the psone

Jeez, I've been waiting forever, just like everyone else. Why couldn't he work on it earlier? Was it the production of Kid Icarus: Uprising because I would easily take Super Smash Bros. 4 over Kid Icarus despite it being a good game. Ahhh Idk.

I'm sure he wanted to work on a different game at some point rather than moving from one smash bros to another. Kid Icarus is a great game and I'm glad to see what else he can do after this smash bros is out

I agree, I love that they have brought back such an old series that was buried ever since the Gameboy and NES era, but I have been a long time fan of the Smash bros. Series, so I would have to prefer that. But was Kid Icarus that big of project? I mean it's been like 4 years since the release of Brawl(2008? not sure) and it'd be a little hard to beleive that Kid Icarus took 4 years to produce. I'm okay with any game he makes since they're all pretty good but this game has been teased for awhile now:cry:

You are seriously the blindest cow I have ever seen.

But on topic, no. Sony is losing money with the Vita(and they'll discontinue it eventually) and the PS3 is just running out of things to copy from other gaming companies.

Hey fellows Gamespot users, I'm here on the behalf of finding a few hiddem gems of Nintendo's last generation console, the Gamecube. Now I'm honestly up to check out any suggestion for the reason that I already have every major Gamecube game that helped it sell units or was simply known to be good.

So if you could give a breif description on a game that you think isn't known and has some valuable experiences to be had on it, that'd be great. I really appreciate it. :)

[QUOTE="campzor"]cs 1.6 call of duty natural selection best mp ever. THATS WHY!

i find call of duties online multiplayer to be to repetitive, spawn get 4 or five kills die, spawn, repeat. and to pay your good money just for that when you could get a whole new game instead of paying for online. just seams ridiculous to me, although i was into the first modern warfare, none of the others really had me interested.

I've beaten both games and i think that mario 64 is better but that might be just from nostalgia but i love that game to death and i could beat it a hundred percent in a day. Definately my favorite 3d mario. But i still have yet to play galaxy 2 so maybe that one will win me over. Sunshine was also an excellent game that offered new ways to beat levels and bosses using the fludd. But i think if the mario from 64 came into that game he would beat it up and down without the fludd just because of his perefect mechanics from the 64.
