How much does it cost to unlock the Ultra Settings in the menu?

Depends how lucky you get with the loot boxes. You might be stuck at low settings for the first £100 or so.

If I got it for free I'd possibly have a go, but wouldn't pay money for it.

could be there is less variety on consoles, so when a game comes out more people buy them.

there's also a lot of PC gamers who only play a small amount of games and go nuts on stuff like wow/csgo/dota/lol, heck there's millions on chinese steam accounts that dont have other games than PUBG in it

This. although I don't play any of those games, I did play Wolfenstein Enemy Territory pretty much exclusively for almost 10 years. Then got stuck into Planetside 2 for a couple of years.

Also a lot of the new games are just overhyped cut scene, hand holding shite with shiny graphics and shallow gameplay which I doubt interest many PC gamers.

I've purchased HL2 for a mate at work for 69p (69 pence for the best single player game ever made!) And for myself - Black Mesa (HL1 remake - £5.99) & This War of Mine (£2.99).

Gears of War. Simple, dumbed down gameplay for 10 year olds.

Well, the sale is now on.

There's not much I'm interested in though. I've just bought Half Life 2 for a work colleague who has never heard of it, let alone played it! He thinks CoD WW2 is a good game :/

The best 69p I've ever spent lol.

They may be able to make the graphics more shiny, but if the games are shallow as ****, who cares?

I really want to upgrade my old 780gtx to something newer, but there's not really any games I want to play as they all just seem a bit 'meh'.

A little bit of BF1 on the PS4 and a bit more Half Life 2 on the PC (Not played it for a good few years, started it the other night and forgot just how good the game is)
