Personnaly I am dissapointed with the Wii u (and I think the Wii name had to go) why? because its just more of the same. the same concept and gimmick idea that was behind the Wii.vivelesjeux

OK stop there. The wii was never a gimmick. 'Gimmick' was the buzzword being thrown about by those who just assumed the new "motion concept" would fail. But rather it didn't, it sold extraordinarily well, created new gaming trends (PS move, connect, ect) and is now becoming an industry standard. Also, drop the wii name? For what purpose? Do you understand the importance of branding and marketing in the business world? Does sony just drop the name Playstation? Does Microsoft just drop the name Xbox?

So yes its all about exploring new horizon and new ways of playing but the problem is that none of these new ways of playing are ever properly explored and you just end up waiting fo the big hit game that will use the fantastic new way of playing, but It never arrives! and the only thing you do after buying the system is hope that something will come along. (it never did in 5 years of Wii)

Could you list some examples where the motion gaming on the Wii could have been more properly explored, or at least explain how it hasn't been properly explored? You could also list the examples of games that failed to utilize motion gaming according to your vision of how the motion gimmick should be applied to games? Try to use examples other than FPS please.
