I'm lvl 19 on Xbox 360. Have played a ton with random connection issues here and there. If you are having trouble switching in to online from single player don't use the wheel. Press start and go to the online tab. Go to play gta online and select closed friends server. It's will put you in your own private server and you can get into lobbies and end up in another occupied server

When everything is working smooth gta online is sooooo incredibly fun. I'm lvl 12 have two cars saved in my collectors edition free garage and I'm saving up for a apartment right now. I love this game!

Knowing the developer adds clout to what they say. If its Rockstar saying it I might take it a little more seriously. As we all know there are shitty game devs out there. Just like any other profession just cause you work in a field doesn't mean you know what your talking about.

Why do they need more than 24hrs to preload the game? Sony has shown they can't keep people from hacking in to the preload files so as limited a time as possible is best.
