@ToughCritic28 I don't agree that he thinks he's the undisputed gaming authority. I just think he has a vastly different take on the business of gaming and is very vocal about it.
I think it's good to have someone on the developers end speaking out against questionable business tactics. There's only so much that the gamers can do.
@Soviet330 The fact that you think concluding a 200+ hour saga in a way that would appease all fans is mind boggling. You believe it is simple because you don't have to do anything.
This is a great article. I feel like clunky games get a bad rap. The controls may not be perfect or the graphics may be be terrible but the experience is what it's all about. If you play something and it feels new and inventive and completely it's own thing then that is my idea of a winning game. Deadly Premonition is one of my favorite games of all time because it was bats*** crazy and knew it! I loved that the driving was horrendous and the shooting was abysmal because it created a feeling that was in tune with the mental nature of the main character. The guy was out of his mind and I couldn't imagine him being able to drive or shoot in any reasonable manor.
@LtReviews - They're "so called" fans because they hated it before they played it. The game was incredible and too many people were blinded by the extreme change in visuals that they didn't see how great it was. I know I was disappointed up until I played it and then it became one of my favorites. It's fine to dislike a certain entry in the series. That means your a fan but like you said critical and opinionated. but they weren't acting like real fans when they didn't get what they expected and basically turned their back on what the series was doing. Without playing it.
