Didn't play Destiny since it wasn't on PC, but I am thoroughly enjoying Destiny 2 right now. Beautiful environments, tight gunplay, sharp UI.
But man does the story stink. I'm not saying Halo was a paragon of storytelling, but something must have changed in the writing stuff at Bungie. This trailer just confirms they're not even trying.
So, I can spend more money to experience less content.
Used to be that gamers got the most bang for their buck when they really stretched the game's content out and put the work in to experience every corner of it.
Now you can shoot yourself in the foot (and wallet) and just buy shortcuts to that content, thereby slashing the game's value. If you're that dumb, then go for it. Just know you're dumb. That's all I want. Is for you to know that you are literally spending more money to play less game.
Those specs don't look like nearly enough to run 4k well. Granted, console games still have less particles, simpler physics, lower draw distance and less scene population on the whole.
So maybe, it'll be possible at an unstable 30fps. Don't get your hopes up.
What I do see this acheiving, is 1080p at 45-60fps, depending on the game.
@Saidrex: Not likely. Firaxis is the same company that makes Civ. They have plenty of money. And I would imagine due to the prevalence of social media and pre-orders, and the popularity of EU and EW, that they knew it was going to be this popular
@Mirimon78: That is why graphical options exist... That's how it has always been. Why not set the highest bar much higher than consoles, and set the console quality at the mid-level? It's been done many times. This should be no exception.
I think Lambo, Ferrari, Porsche and the like should make all their cars with eco-boost 4 cylinders and cheap ass interiors. It's just not fair to all the other drivers who spend a fraction of the money on their car.
