@IvanElk: Thanks for the humoring :). But seriously, this is why I asked the forums about shit I know absolutely nothing about... So from what I've read from all the sources is that there are more profitable uses of my capital than mining bitcoin. Thanks for all the help

@MonsieurX: I would have much rather been given a reason to go with AMD rather than just a statement. There are plenty of brand nazis out there. I won't pretend to have known that AMD is superior at mining; that's why I'm asking these forums for advice.

@MonsieurX: What difference would that make?

I am planning on scratch building a mITX PC and I'm posting on several different forums to see if my choices are at least decent. I'm using this for running private servers, minor bitcoin mining, and gaming. If I'm missing any parts let me know.

MSI Gaming N760 TF 2GD5/OC GeForce GTX 760 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support Video Card $260

Asus Z87i-Deluxe LGA 1150 Intel Z87 Mini ITX Motherboard $180

Kingston HyperX Blu 8GB (2x8 GB Module) 1600MHz 240-pin DDR3 $150

Samsung Electronics 840 EVO-Series 120GB 2.5-Inch SATA III 80GB $82

Creative GigaWorks T20 Series II 2.0 $80

@ankor77: I was looking at some Sager models on Xotic and they seemed to be fairly priced considering the components involved. I didn't know you could buy complete laptops from Sager. Thanks for the info.

A few things to note for any gaming pc: Make sure that the GPU is dedicated NOT integrated (integrated GPUs tend to bottleneck gaming and other graphic intensive processes), Ask yourself how much does weight and battery life matter to you, If you have a decent GPU and CPU make sure you opt for a 1080p display (it will most likely last the longest and be the best value), and MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A WARRANTY (with parts coverage). As for the Lenovo, if you don't mind Windows 8 (or are replacing it), then it works fine ,but be absolutely certain that it is what you want; with things this expensive, you do not want buyers remorse.

How good are the services of XoticPC? I mean the whole experience; purchasing, shipping time and quality, warranty clarity and comprehensiveness, and overall opinions. I was planning on purchasing a laptop from them since I don't really have the time to relearn PC building for a mobile platform, and I sorta think capitalism is a decent idea. Also, I'd prefer to know the specifics of people's transactions, if you've actually bought from them.

After an extremely long wait, Kojima has released a patch to add trophies to MGS4. Although I aprreciate the thought, its a bit late isn't it? Along with the update MGO was disabled... Which pissed me off. MGO was a very good multiplayer mode for the game and I often participated in the tournaments. What are the communities thoughts on all this?

Anyone here like to mess around with old PCs (IBM 5150, Tandy machines, ZX Spectrum for the Brits, or old Apple stuff)? If so I would like some advice on hardware and software issues i've been have on some of my machines (specifically the ZX Spectrum, BBC Micro, and Acorn machines). Its mainly monitor compatibility between PAL and NTSC monitors and disk back-up. Any random info on old computers is welcome as well since I will never know when I will find a deal on one.
