Understand both sides of the coin. Sony is looking at the opportunity as pretty scary because they are essentially opening doors to be screwed over and sell less consoles. PS4 and Xbox players buy consoles to play with friends and with PS4 far in the lead, they still have in the back of their mind how they screwed up at the beginning of the PS3. They do not want to make the same mistake again. Also, they are probably wondering why microsoft would be so innovative now that they are losing and never offered or considered while winning. On the other side Xbox is seeing this as an opportunity. They know they have lost this so called "war" so to speak and believe me when I say that the console between the two that is losing, almost always is the most innovative. Think about how much sony listened to the gamers in the ps3 era, it was lovely. Now look at how much Xbox one owners are being pampered. Of course we aren't able to get everything we want regardless of console.

However this is the piece I take from Xbox's open invitation. Maybe this could be the beginning of a greater collaboration between PC, PS4 and Xbox. If Sony and Microsoft were to collab on a project such as a new console or something, the possibilities would be endless. At that point they would be able to focus greatly on GAMES, which is all we ever want. I say break the barriers and see what happens. You only get one life SONY

@jagdedge124: Well I don't wish to get rid of consoles and play games on tv. I love having a dedicated system (my ps4) for playing with friends and a pc for graphics and more hardcore games. I do like to loved the Last of Us for ps3 and like certain games, was just saying that sometimes I need that instant play type of game that COD/ Battlefield/ Battlefront offer

@jagdedge124: Not necessarily... It's relatively early in the console's life cycle and even if we cut short a few years due to the advancement in tech being very fast. It PS2's great titles came toward the middle/end of it's life cycle. San Andreas, Max Payne 2, Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3, God of War Titles, BattleFront 2.... PS3's best titles GTA5, Last of Us, Uncharted 2 and 3, Red Dead Redemption, and many more, some of ps3 titles which are still being played. I say it's still relatively early and great titles are still being developed

@se7en1989: I definitely understand where you're coming from. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater was one of my favorite games growing up. I actually almost bought THPS5 DAY ONE!!! :( was so glad I didn't but really sad that the devs hurt the franchise like that. Can't let devs get away with that.

Why does everyone hate COD and Battlefront??? I'm not really into games like Fallout. Personally between a fulltime job 40hours a week, full time school 15 credits (not online), and spending time with my family when I am home. I need a game I can dive right into and COD and Battlefront allow just that. I don't have the time to play games like Fallout. So thats what I prefer.

@se7en1989: I don't particularly think Minecraft is worth the price tag either but when you see people make an amazing world out of something simplistic, or in other words, Gamers finding a game that makes THEM 'happy', I can't help but be happy for that person. The great thing about gaming I believe is that there is something for everybody out there.

The absolute best part of Battlefront 2 for PS2 was Heroes vs Villains. The Jedi vs the Darkside. Nothing but light sabers flying around and force chokes everywhere you look. If they allow this and you will have countless hours of fun TRUST ME!!! lol

@Stiler: In the original Battlefront 2 for ps2 I don't think it was considered a mode but within the server options you could choose to just only allow hero's and villains as a choice for Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch. This was one of BF2's standout matches. Completely chaotic force chokes and sabers flying everywhere!!! lol

You guys B|TCH and moan SO MUCH about resolution. Who cares. PC, Xbox, PS4. It's all f'n gaming man. Whether you are a grown Man/Woman or teen whatever you are its still videogames at the end of the day. I'm not getting this game for resolution. I fell in love with Battlefront on ps2 randomly picking it up as a young 12 year old stumbling across the game. Just the simple fact a developer picked it up I am greatful. AND you know what??? They actually delivered. This game so far for me has captured the exact feel of battlefront 2. They weren't trying to make a whole new game. This game is technically speaking a sequel and DICE was simply trying to recreate that experience many people loved about the battlefront series and tried to bridge the game of the What if feeling of Battlefront 3 being cancelled
