Guitar - Carvin (Cobalt C350) I have a piano that isn't too good as it's old and detuned on some keys while some others don't play, but I still play it often and if I had the money I'd buy a new one.

Last year, we were talking about this in my History class. And someone also wrote a bill for the legislative debate league I'm in that was about banning it. Columbus didn't really do too much good, he and his friends raped the natives and spread disease, and Columbus went back three more times. He wasn't too great a person, and his belief of the size of the world was completely wrong. He's the reason that many people are now seem to be confused in the US on who 'Indian' refers to...

[QUOTE="Lockedge"][QUOTE="soldier-dark"][QUOTE="Lockedge"] Aye. I live in Canada, and I can say I'm from America. A person born in and living in Brazil is an American. Just because one country in North America names itself after the two western continents doesn't mean that it gets to be considered 'America".

Semantics. And when you're arguing those, it's usually best to go with the more accepted and used terminologies. In this case, 'America' and 'American' relate to the United States of America. Your negligence to see the sense in this terminology is something that confuses me, please explain why it shouldn't be referred to like that?

I just always found it ridiculous that people call the United States "America" and just leave it at that. I'm more ok with calling people from the USA "Americans" because the only other option would be to call them "statesmen", which is very ridiculous sounding and just as generic. I just don't agree with the idea of labeling one country the sum of two continents. I just don't understand the logic. Regardless of how long it's been acceptable to call the United States "America" as some shortform, it's fairly ridiculous to slap on a label such as that.

You're calling it the 'United States' for short. The official name is 'United States of America' which is the reason why people from the country are referred to as American. It's just how it is, and besides some Canadians, I don't think I've actually heard anybody else complain about this...

no no no you misunderstood me

its just a personal thing with me. I dont see Americans (from the US) as the same as the United States, because I really dont like what my government does a lot of the time (the United States), and I make the distinction by calling the people residing in this country Americans.

sorry its just a personal thing, forget I even said it.

Oh no, I was replying to the person who quoted you. I read your other post above.

Guys, you dislike the United States.

Not America

Its a subtle difference, but a difference none the less.

I feel I'm communist. However, I will acknowledge that communism doesn't work for everyone, just like every other pure economic system. I would like a more favorable view from the government on communes, as if they are set up right can work very well.

Okay, it was me. I didn't mean for it to be mods, they were just the people who happened to be in the room. I just felt some people should probably die while we're here. You know, to make it interesting...

I know of some people that have taken it, and let's just say it has the opposite affect if you want to calm down. Some of my friends are already kinda spazzes but this stuff makes them 10x worse, like the worst hyperactivity I've ever witnessed.

This sounds about right. If your adrenal gland is already working overtime, there's a chance that this would help you to focus if well doesd under a doctor's supervision. If, however, your body is functioning normally, you can expect your work and probably your mental health to deteriorate with amphetamines.

stressing about midterms is already taking a toll on my mental health. university came as a shock to me considering the amount of work you have to do. and i have a lot of pressure on me not to screw up

Adderall probably won't help.
