I'm not trying to take away your opinion, but "proof" simply doesn't accompany "opinion", otherwise it would be fact. As for launch titles, that is one small window in a consoles entire lifecycle, which is still very subjective and opinion based. Different strokes for different folks and all that.
Nothing on paper is good enough. The proof will be in the actual performance of both consoles once we get a ways into the next gen lifecycle and devs are truly learning to leverage the respective systems power. You come off as a bit of a fanboy yourself with that comment.
You could have been on to something if this story hadn't been published by multiple organizations. I imagine the sources want to remain anonymous so as not to burn any business relationships.
@dannyodwyer @ssdd_again Hey Danny, apologies for cutting in here. I just wanted to share a similar experience I have had with the older generation and video games.
My father in law lived with us when he was experiencing some health issues, around the time that Red Dead dropped. He couldn't believe what he'd stumbled upon when he saw me playing it, and became so enamored with, and invested in it Marsden's world, he practically watched me play through the entire game. Red Dead epitomized the cowboy tales he grew up reading, and became a life long love for him. It was a truly touching moment as the game wound down, when he sat in his lazy boy with tears in his eyes (the only other time I've seen him well up was at our wedding). Video games are obviously an amazing entertainment medium, but the ability certain games have to now transcend that vast generational gap is simply astounding.

@daemonproject I imagine Sony would need to retail in approximate price parity with the Occulus Rift (projected to be $300 USD). So while $100 dollars is optimistically low, its not far off a realistic price point.
Sony's VR offering is slated to interact with the PS4 camera, which is capable of motion tracking sans controller too (just how precise it is remains to be seen, but it looks to be suitably accurate thus far). Setting that aside, if a game is immersive, it achieves this regardless of control medium, I personally would prefer the tightness and precision of a controller in conjunction with VR, with motion controls bearing a supplementary function.
@roman4545 @snossage I have to admit, whenever I catch an episode I find myself getting amped for Watchdogs. I mostly went off open world/sand box titles for a while, however, for me the next gen is all about scale, I'm looking forward to titles like Destiny and DA: Inquisition (It looks like Bioware are back on form, fingers crossed).
@roman4545 I showed my wife a bunch of Watchdogs footage, that's the exact parallel she drew. We'll probably end up playing it together because of the similarities to the show, which will be a welcome change from the kart racing I drag her into on occasion.

I believe they've stated this will carry over to PS4, but it sounds at though we may have a stand down period where these titles aren't accessible while we are waiting for the Gaikai component to go live?
