Anima was awesome because she looked cool and she was exceedingly powerful, that's why she's my fav. Yojimbo was also good because of Zanmato (= instant kill against any enemy). Both of these summons/aeons are from FFX.
As long as the new FFs being pumped out by Square-Enix (or whatever they become in that time) are of good quality (FFX quality story, FFVII quality etc.), FFs will go on for a lot longer.
I really don't think you could do a prequel game for FFX. I think that you just don't have enough to work with. At least in FFX-2 they were able to make that crazy class system out of dress spheres and garment grids and it was semi-believable and interesting, but you only have 3 characters to work with, Jecht, Braska and Auron, and I really don't know if you can do a 3 man sphere grid, and a class system doesn't work either. You could easily make enough story I think, but making the combat fun and intersting isn't really possible. I think it would make a cool movie like AC did for FFVII but outside of that you don't have much to work with on gameplay which is the major issue.TheOdinson
I agree, a movie of the pilgramige of Braska, Auron and Jecht would be awesome, but a game wouldn't be a great idea. Three characters wouldn't work, and neither would a job system.
I will stop play FF when i feel that the game is not for me to play. Like pokemon i know feel that that game is not for me to play, but i don't know when i will stop...

What have you got against Pokemon, they are fun games. I will give up on FF's when I give up on video games (**cough cough, not likely**) or when FF's go bad, which I hope never happens.
I think the touch screen will just be used as a command menu and perhaps a navigatible map. It does seem awefully like a money-making scheme by Square-Enix though.
