Hey, guys. It seems that my 8800GTS finally died out, so I'm in need of a new graphics card. I don't really feel like spending a fortune on something fancy, and I was happy with the 8800, so I'm wondering if you guys know of a "modern" replacement for the 8800 - something just as good, if not better, but not too pricey.

Thanks!

I know some of the PC games sequel will never gonna happen for sure but still dream about those. My dream sequel of PC games are:

1. Fahrenheit / Indigo Prophecy 2 (Only one released so far)

2. Nocturne 2 (Only one released so far)

3. Syberia 3 (Only 2 released so far)

4. Cold Fear (Only one released so far)

5. Dreamfall: The Longest journey (Only 2 released so far)

What's yours friends??????

Speaking of Nocturne... do you have any idea how to get it working on a modern PC? I'd really like to go back and play that game.

Can't say about Win 7 but it works great with the latest unofficial 7.6b patch on my Vista 64bit system. Must have had a ton of people trying to download it yesterday cause it took forever. Game downloaded fast, guess Steam is more use to the volumn.

Yeah, I have windows 7 64 bit and it works fine.

So with the unoffical patches the game works on Windows 7 and 64bit systems? I still have my old copy of the game, but it doesn't install for some reason... I want to know if it works on modern hardware before I buy it again.

I'm not just better than console gamers, I'm better than everyone else.

Whoopdeedooda! This is so fascinating... I can't believe someone played a game from another system and liked it.

Let's be honest, the story of Crysis one was mediocre. Miroku32
But you have to admit... that Nomad character was a lot more interesting than anyone Kojima came up with!

Call of Duty is a best-seller on the PC too. This notion that PC gamers require more intellectually stimulating games is a bit silly. Ninja-Hippo
Sometimes silly things can be true... this is one of those times!

If a game has cars in it and you can't run over a grannie, who's crossing the road, then there is no point in playing it.

Honestly I'm having trouble forming an opinion on this. Yeah, the graphics are good... So what? Anything else special about this? I'm just burned out on all these modern era shooters. Sure, Battlefield is great but theres plenty of them. Whats Battlefield 3 doing other than better graphics?vashkey
I feel the same way. As good as it looks, the modern time-frame just isn't clicking for me anymore. If anything, I'd be more interested in a Rainbow Six style game, which takes you on more focused scenarios (it might be "realistic" and "modern," but it would also be more interesting).

Also the drab filter makes it look a lot less appealing... reality isn't as washed out as it is in that video. Maybe that has something to do with the video camera, but I felt the same way while viewing the official trailer.
