This game...incredibly immersive and addictive. I was pleasantly surprised, especially after all the bad things folks had to say about the beta. Every time I play it, I literally have to pull away from it, lol. And kudos to Funcom for the smoothest launch I've ever been a part of; aside from a few glitches here and there, I haven't run across anything gamebreaking, and that's saying a lot.
Just... wow. I don't even recall Radical dropping the ball as far as making a bad game, and here they go being folded up, too. When everything is said and done, what's going to be left in the game industry if all the talented developers are being closed simply because they don't pull the Blizzard/Infinity Ward/Treyarch/Bioware numbers? *sigh* Hopefully, the folks who've lost their jobs behind this move can be pulled into other studios.
@pakhair Hate to burn your tower down, pakhair, but Diablo 3 isn't gonna last a few more months if Blizzard doesn't A) stop listening to the whiners who keep bitching that the hardest game mode IS TOO HARD, lol, and B) start making the loot actually worth finding. Currently, it's too much work on every difficulty trying to find one item worth the time you're putting in: the stats suck. But I digress, this isn't another Diablo 3 forum, lol.
@The_Dragon_Born Ah, but that said, do you feel better that they're giving you a repackaged ending, which sounds a lot like it's still gonna have a crappy ending, but this time with extra footage? You can never unsee something once it's been seen, lol. We already know how this ends, this EC just seems like a desperate attempt to quiet the dissenters.
@IndySandbagTrik Ah, so they're elaborating and clarifying that the original ending sucked, lol. Add a few (?) more details into said sucky ending, and you still have a sucky ending. This time could have gone into, you know, something more productive, rather than repainting a turd to appease the masses.
I seriously hope that all the whiners are happy. Sure, this is (likely) the ending we should've gotten to begin with, but having seen the original ending, isn't this one going to feel cheap and tacked-on? It isn't going to change my mind about that fiasco, and it's not going to change the fact that things like this, Capcom's DLC greed, and the ongoing sh!tstorm that is Diablo 3 are slowly draining my interest in this generation of gaming.
When a friend of mine told me to look this up, my first thought was "Oh, HELL YEAH!!" *best Stone Cold* But, just like you, I took a closer look and realized that yes, I already own the games in this package. So $150 for the soundtracks, videos, statue, and headband? If they had taken a little extra time to really flesh this box out, it would have been a must-own: where's X-Men vs Street Fighter? The Alphas and the Pocket Fighters? Basically, I'd be paying for DLC to games I no longer play... where's the value in that? Shame on you, Capcom. Once again, trying to milk the fans. Oh, and even if I didn't already own SF x Tekken... I'd still have to pay to unlock the DLC characters later this year? Really?
Wow, they really think folks will still be playing Street Fighter X Tekken come the fall? Capcom should've given up the 12 extra fighters near launch, or better yet, make them unlockable by playing the game, lol. Ha, HA... stupid.
