@Purplekjw @Joefatty2x4 I agree that DLC is an "extra", and not required to enjoy the core game. But the issue here isn't just that's it's DLC, it's the fact that this DLC has already been paid for by anyone who purchased the season pass for SR3. Those gamers got short-changed, and paid for promised content that was never delivered. So now those same gamers are expected to pay AGAIN for the same content they already paid for once. Im not complaining about having to pay for DLC. I understand that it is content above and beyond the core game, and should not be free. But once said content is paid for, it should be delivered. Not paid for, cancelled, then paid for again. This is a slap in the face to anyone who bought the SR3 season pass, and wasn't given the content they paid for.

I still don't understand how people are defending this. This is like going to a restaurant, paying for a meal, and having them tell you "Oh, sorry, we know you paid for a meal, but we're going to have to cancel the appetizer, dessert and drink. We had some problems in the kitchen, it was out of our control. But the NEXT time you come here, you're going to get those things you paid for!" So you're pissed, but you love the food, so eventually you go back, and they tell you "Ok, we have the drink, dessert and appetizer you paid for last time you were here.....but you have to pay for it again if you want it." Maybe not the best comparison, but Im struggling to think of an example as ridiculous as this massive ripoff they are trying to perpetrate on gamers.

@Thanatos2k I should be happy about paying to get something I already paid for once? I want some of what you're smoking. I don't really care if THQ is to blame, the fact is that Volition has an opportunity to erase some of the ill will towards the franchise by doing right by the customers who supported them in the past. THQ went bankrupt, so it's ok that the people who tried to support them get screwed over? I really don't see how that makes sense. This content should be provided "free" to the people who already paid for it the first time around, and was never delivered.

@Thanatos2k Abandoning it entirely? No. Making gamers pay twice for the same content? Undoubtedly.

@SlimeSwayze Im pretty sure Volition's name is on SR3 as well as THQ's. And don't ask me how they were going to work it into the main storyline, it clearly wasn't my idea to cancel the DLC in the first place. That's kind of the point I'm making, it was stupid and lacked any sort of forethought, not to mention respect for their customer base. I really enjoyed SR3, but there is NO way I'll put a dime of my money into Volition's pocket in the future, no matter how great SR4 might end up being.

So let me get this straight.....this was SUPPOSED to be DLC (included in the season pass) for SR3. And then it got "bumped" and supposedly made into SR4. That alone was enough to sour me on it. But now it's going to be DLC again? Unless it's free to SR3 season pass holders (you know, like they said it would be?), I feel like Volition ought to buy me dinner, since I got kind of fucked.

I agree 100% that people have done some really amazing things using the Kinect. The problem arises if they FORCE the Kinect on people who don't have any interest in it. While I appreciate and realize the awesome things that can be done with the Kinect, it doesn't make me want to spend money on it. I dont have any interest in reverse-engineering it to drive my car for me, or whatever the heck people are trying to do with it. I just want a console to play games on, and I think the majority of gamers are in the same boat. Don't force me and other consumers to spend extra money on something we don't want. Im not buying a console because of the technological possibilities if I tinker with it, Im buying it because I enjoy the games I can play on it out of the box. There are people out there who live for that sort of thing, taking their kinect apart, seeing the different ways it can be used, etc. And that's cool, like you said, they win! But I think those gamers are the vast minority. If they want to do that kind of thing, more power to them. Go buy a Kinect, and do what you can do with it. But don't force it on the rest of us.

@Vegeta-sama I am completely at peace with that. I like how every time you comment on here, the person you're commenting on is "wrong"...and you're "right". Yet, I dont see anyone who agrees with you. And you seem to be only offering criticism in point form, and aren't exactly expanding on what it is that I, (and seemingly a few others) "don't get". I "don't get" why I should have to pay extra for something I would not use. That's a fairly simple thing to comprehend, yet it seems Im wrong for thinking that, I must just have "narrow vision". From now on I guess I'll just buy whatever MS sells, whether I want it or not.

No my friend....if you really believe your Kinect is the essential, invaluable piece of hardware Microsoft wants you to believe it is, and are shelling out money for sub-par games that go along with it....then it is YOU who does not get it.
