@esqueejy: The reality is the company has lost over 160 billion dollars. I'm not the one scrambling to find excuses to deal with the cope. They are failing and I'm sitting back and saying " I told you so"... Your the one having a meltdown... buh buh it's not because their content is woke it's all a coincidence " 🤣.

You haven't looked at any serious data you clown. You linked an Op- Ed from Forbes 🤣🤣.

Meanwhile I'll call the hit and flops with 100% accuracy and watch you sit there in denial.

Hint.... every movie they have announced will fail with the exception of Deadpool & Wolverine.

@boodger: They were not expected to return to normal. Every analyst under the sun said this would create unprecedented growth opportunity.... it didn't. Stop calling Disney a " streaming company ". That is not their primary business. Covid hurt two of their biggest revenue streams ( theme parks) and the box office. The streaming was meant to prop them up while the other businesses suffered. The problem is when Covid was over the other business suffered.

There is a strong correlation between the two and you won't be able to deny it forever. Shareholder are noticing the issue so to act like this is being talked about only in right wing bubbles is delusional.

You also prove yet again you have no clue what your talking about. Disney did not have a great 2022. Every movie outside of Dr. Strange failed to meet expectations. The downward trend started in 2022.

No I'm laughing at the fact that you use op-eds as some concrete source of fact. They are not doing anything more then I am.

Barely, and that was just recently after job cuts and price hikes. If they don't turn their content machine around they are screwed. When you say their price will rise that implies thst their movies will start routinely breaking a billion dollars and with their current mindset that's unlikely.

Funny but none of you mention these movies are bad. It's only after they flop you say they were bad. Do you honestly think the average MCU fan is a serious film critic? These movies are flopping because they are making movies about heroes nobody gives a shit about?

Except that's not what was shown. You do realize when Covid ended the streaming service was expected to fall off some but the Box office was expected to boom again? It didn't and that's the problem. Their golden goose that was supposed to return has turned into a turd and that's because the Content they are producing is full of progressive pandering that continues to fail.

You are best off exiting this conversation because you got obliterated. It's not the mere existence of black and brown people that caused them to fail it was the blatant attempt to insert them into everything for the sole purpose of DEI.

Regardless you have the critical thinking skills of a toddler, just sit back and watch me call the failures with 100% accuracy while you cry about false correlations.

@boodger: I didn't link the article to prove their downfall was due to " woke politics" I linked it to prove to you they had a massive loss which you denied. Analysts can speculate why something is failing it doesn't prove it either way. The fact is though they are failing.

Disney had one of their worst box office performances in their history despite rival studios doing great. An article speculating why that may be is irrelevant. The fact is they have doubled down on progressive content and had one of their worst years at the box office I keep calling failures with 100% accuracy you can stay there and deny reality.

Not true. The Stock has hovered around $85 to $95 a share. The streaming service was made to add value not take them back to where they were at 8 years ago.

Sure I saw it. The difference was it was just right wing Youtubers. Now I'm seeing it from people on the center who 8 years ago didn't give a shit. That's what I'm trying to tell you.

This is just bad speculation on your part. Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin made over a billion dollars just a few years ago. The originals were part of the golden age from the Disney era. This is the same pitiful excuse Disney shills use to defend the declining MCU " super hero fatigue" but it won't stop Deadpool&Wolverine from crushing it. The reality is its " Diversity hero fatigue ".

Disney world has way more attendees then Disney land and a attendance was down. But don't worry they just fired a bunch of people and raised prices and turned a big profit.

I'm not moving any goalpost. You denied the loss exist and you were wrong. The reality is the streaming service was meant to grow the business not make it worth less then it was before it launched. But the reality is their streaming service is still losing money and their box office tanked. If their content was in demand they would be at an all time high.

@boodger:

Do you consider Bloomberg grifters as well?

Disney's Stock Hit A 52 week high based off their better then expected earnings from their theme parks and an exclusive deal with Taylor Swift. The Stock has been hovering near a 9 year low. You can argue that the stock was inflated due to the pandemic but that's only because the streaming service has vastly underperformed expectations and as the box office picked up for everyone after Covid Disney continued to fail. The investors expectations was that streaming would continue to grow and the box office would continue to be dominated by Disney while crowds for theme parks would return. However that's not what happened. The streaming service has stalled, their box office has continued to tank( while everyone else is setting records) and their theme parks were successful largely due to massive price hikes.

The finding Dory to Lightyear comparison doesn't really help your argument. Finding Dory came out in 2016 where the backlash towards progressive entertainment wasn't really a thing. Lightyear came out as the backlash started and yes it's only going to get worse. Strangeworld had a gay poc that was put front and center. Disney praised it's diversity... it flopped miserably.

Little mermaid is the example I was using and yes it failed miserably. For one " Little Mermaid " was a part if the golden age of cartoons. Comparing it Dumbo is disingenuous as Dumbo was nowhere near as popular and Cinderella made almost the same despite coming out 8 years ago when ticket prices were 50% less then they are now. Little mermaid was expected to make around 850 million at the box offic as a conservative estimate and it made nowhere near that despite having the largest marketing budget of all their remakes. The reality is a " white Ariel" probably would have easily pusher the movie north of 800 million.

Well we can Debste this but I will wager Wolverine & Deadpool will be the only successful one. Their current roster of Diversity Avengers has no chance and if the leaks about the new Fantastic 4 are true it will fail miserably.

Not true. Progressivesgo out of their way to act like those who criticizedStar Wars were nothingmore then a few alt right trolls. It'ssafe to say that is no longer the case. They wentall in on girl power and it's going to fail miserably.

Yes, and why does Sniw White have the backlash? They took what they did with Little Mermaid and doubled down. The people that weren't paying attention are understanding what's happening and that movie is going to get trounced.

This is referring to a specific ESG fund one that has lost a record amount of money. DEI is a core part of the ESG which is why I mentioned it and the company that started it had their biggest loss on record. I'm pointing you to all these things that are failing and somehow you are not seeing the correlation. Disney simply needs to learn the core concept of " Demographics ".

@esqueejy:

Are you familiar with ESG funds ? These are cold hard facts. It's not just Disney as investors are pulling funds from companies that parrot progressive values. Again your projection would be amusing If it weren't so pathetic. The company has lost $160 billion dollars in value and all you can do is scream and cope.

I will and I look forward to your braindead logic when it blows past a billion dollars, Yet none of Marvels diversity heroes will come close to that. Wolverine & Deadpool will sell because they weren't made to pander to purple haired cat dads stuck in their mothers basement.

I'll tell you it because it's A fact. You libs on average are much poorer then conservatives. Enjoy that TV in your one bedroom apartment in a cesspool of a city you most likely live in 🤣

@esqueejy: I literally cited in an article in the very post I responded to you where Disney admits their views may have hurt their business. Try clicking the link next time. But we know how you like to ignore facts in front of your face.

I understand you are a progressive activist who's angry that pandering to you has done nothing but caused companies to lose billions for the simple fact that you were never more than a loud obnoxious minority with little buying power. Regardless continue to cope and seethe as we laugh at these companies who continue to fail.

@boodger: " poorly anticipating audience interest".

You pretty much proved my point. They do not know their demographics. 160 billion dollar stock loss isn't a blip. I'm sorry but you are detached from reality. Steaming has nothing to do with it as every movie that hits theaters debuts on a streaming platform shortly after. This is an argument that holds no water.

I'm not talking about " 3 second lesbian moments". Although in the case of lightyear that scene was blown out of proportion. I'm talking about the blatant pandering and replacement of classical characters for the sole purpose of DEI that have all failed miserably.

You can keep your head In the sand but why are so many calling their flops with 100% accuracy and only a certain group seems to be bewildered on what's actually happening?

Not a single Marvel movie they announced will be successful except ( Wolverine&Deadpool). The Rey Star Wars movie will fail. The new female lead pirates film will fail. The new Snow White will fail. You said people just want to be entertained... that is true. However desperate pandering becomes obvious and the general public no longer finds it entertaining.

The proof shows DEI is bad for business

@boodger: All analytics favor my position. I realize you want to pass everything off as coincidence but that's a great way to further the company further into ruin.

They do if it looks like blatant pandering. You seem to struggle with the basic concept of demographics.

@esqueejy: Is denying reality how you cope?

All the facts support what I have said. If Disney didn't lose $160 billion dollars in value over the past 3 years you would have an argument. If " The Marvels" wasn't the biggest flop in MCU history you would have a point. If other movies weren't shattering the billion dollar mark the same year Disney was failing you would have a point. But all evidence suggests I am in fact right. Cope!
