The game has a price tag on it. It should be reviewed so that if a consumer wants to make an informed decision before making a purchase then he can. It's just that simple. Maybe they'll put a follow up review for it when the game is finished like they do when reviewing MMOs that have expansions but it's not like this review is uncalled for.

@blueinheaven You're on a whole other level of clueless. This game has been out for awhile now. Just because parts of the game aren't finished doesn't mean it shouldn't be reviewed. It's available to be purchased so people are going to want to find out if they should buy it or not hence the review.

You can't fault Kevin on this. While a 7 to fans is obviously not the number we want to see, it's his review of the game. He probably doesn't enjoy South Park that much since he doesn't seem to enjoy fart jokes and that's his preference. A fan of South Park will enjoy this game regardless of the review it got.

I think you should read over what you typed again because it doesn't show a single positive side, it all seemed to be on the negative side from the way anyone else would read it.

Note the words 'evolved', 'original story' and 'atmosphere'. By the choice of words, he seems to have liked the story of Skyrim but the way he put it makes it seem as though he doesn't know what mods are and that mods are optional and so he thinks that these mods have diluted the intended purpose of Skyrim when really it hasn't.

Also, I don't see how being remembered for 1,000s of mods is a bad thing. The game sells because of the mods; the mods get downloaded because of the people that buy the game. There are even mods that expand the story of Skyrim because of people who create new stories within the world through their mods. That being said, while the story of vanilla Skyrim may not be the best story told, the elder scrolls franchise is far from 'not being remembered' because a lot of people follow the lore so I doubt anyone will be forgetting the universe anytime soon.

I really never saw a reason to be a PC elitist. People who buy consoles just don't want to have to think about what parts they're supposed to have in a PC in order to play games. Not everyone wants the hassle of periodically updating their hardware components, they just want to play games. I don't see how playing games on a console makes anyone less 'serious', whatever that's supposed to mean, about gaming.

These are mods. There are 'lore-friendly' mods that expand and support the intended atmosphere of Skyrim and then there are mods that are just for plain fun.

That anyone had to explain this... yeesh...

@rbereczki I actually think it's a good addition. It gives the idea that while your character may be adept at using the shadows, that doesn't mean he'll have perfect vision in the dark.
