Shot for that info Greg, although shops down here in South Africa don't seem to sell Belinea monitors unfortunately. Anyhow, I seem to be getting a good deal on a 360 console and the lcd I mentioned above. Since I am not on top of things when it comes time to be technical, but can I have my 360 connected to the lcd at the same time as my pc with the hdcp support, or will I have to keep on connecting/disconnecting cables as I need to use my pc and 360?

If I am in the wrong section, just shout and the mod can move this thread of course :)......... have not been on gs for over a year lol.

Anyhow, I am thinking of buying an Xbox 360 and I want a small compact LCD TV with HD support to play with. Is anybody here playing there 360 on a Samsung 19" LCD 940BW? If so, will I need this cable (HDMI to DVI)? Main question really......... will this specific LCD work well with the 360 displaying the graphics crisply and smoothly etc.?

Cheers Mates 8)

The slim-line also plays games/DVDs quieter than the old one; BUT ONE MAJOR CON is that you should not play for more than 4 hours under risk of overheating!!!-which means NO ALL NIGHT GAMING!!!!!!!!!!!!1m1911a1

I must quote you on that as me and my friends have played with the console on for 12+ hours. All I noticed was a slight lag here and there, but by giving the console a 15min rest, everything was working great 8)

Without a doubt....................... it reads the games faster, less freezing, and slightly increases loading times 8)

The author of this topic said that the regular PS2's don't support DVD+-R/RW and Progressive Scan.

Wrong!

I have a PS2 (not PStwo) 50000 series, and it supports DVD+-R/RW and Progressive Scan just like the slim PStwo. The 50000 series also has the remote sensore built-in and is the last model released before SONY started making the slim PStwo.

I was not mistaken. I was not referring to that model

Seriously for those of you that have not seen the slimps2 in life, the pictures of them really do not do them justice. I mean looking at the pictures in magazines they're small compare to the regular ps2. but in real life, its even smaller.Snowpeas

Yeah, agreed.....

And the console feels so light, and SeXy 8)
