[QUOTE="Fear-"]It wouldn't work with most PS3 games as the Vita is missing a R2, L2, R3 and L3 button, but the wii u was designed with this feature in mind as its one of the main selling points.AmnesiaHaze

the missing 4 buttons could be mapped to each corner of the back touchscreen technically

the ps3 controllers have touch sensitive control. not sure if any games have it though...i know many games on ps2 that used it tho, like the bouncer and mgs

Do people try to have fun playing games anymore? It seems most people here just go around criticizing every little thing like a 2D mountain background. :lol:TheDidact
agree... as long as it doesn't look ugly i am fine with it. i mean if the backgrund was rendered in 3d then my only thought would be, great the devs managed pull it off, but its something that i hardly care about. similar to uncharted 3, the ship part with the waves rocking the boat in real time or something. oh great thats amazing, but it would probably be the same as using cheap techniques to replicate that.

wont convince you since i am not a sony salesman. however i noticed you mentioning fps games so i presume that you are mainly interested in fps games, havent played resistance or cod yet, but my recommendation would be to not bother getting a vita yet until more games are available. however if you are interested in other games and have the spare cash then go buy yourself a vita now. its selection of games so far is pretty good

depends how much money you have tbh. vita is clearly more powerful and the screen makes older games look amazingly gorgeous. however, the only jrpg type games available is disgaea3, persona 4 and ragnarok odyssey. if you are from europe then persona 4 isn't out til next year and ragnarok doesnt even have a release date. if you are tight on money then there isnt actually a reason for you to buy a vita yet.

[QUOTE="Granpire"]Terrible voice acting, terrible graphics, and in escape mode, the looking is inverted and unbearably sensitive. The controls are terrible, and the "hints" the characters give you are such an insult to the player's intelligence that you'd wonder if the game was meant for its target audience. Not to mention the ridiculous sexualization of all female characters. But I digress; this is a Japanese game, I suppose.

completely agree, but i will shamefully ignore these negative points and get this game anyway.

If Sony exits then someone else will just enter the market.

PS3 seems to have caught up but Sony is technically the loser here. Sony lost its market share and Microsoft became a massive competitor despite all the cash they have been throwing around. Nintendo also somehow managed to sell massive amount of consoles. I actually thought that after GC the next console would flop and Nintendo would only rely on handhelds.

Edit: Would also like to add that no matter what happens right now it doesn't really make much difference. Gamers have had their fun with the console and the fight for exclusives will just carry on to next gen where it will be very interesting.

That's not entirely true... If they "dislike working with Sony", then why did they go to the trouble to release the Portable versions of Monster hunter as PSP-exclusives?Granpire
hm... not sure about that one... but you do understand where I am coming from right? Just strange how Capcom could have stuck with PS exclusives and carry on that success but they moved onto N64 and DC before deciding that PS2 was better, than went to GC and then decided that PS2 was still better.

Apart from the PSone, Capcom seems to dislike working with Sony. They pretty much prefer to release games on another console. Only reason PS2 eventually got some love from capcom was because the DC and GC flopped.

combat should be interessting but not necessairy? Guess that's rather hard to find. But I suggest games like Disgaea or ZHP, not sure if they are your type though

I suggest checking out the recommendation-thread-http://www.gamespot.com/forums/topic/26840229/the-new-psp-recommendation-thread---resurrected-once-again

That second picture has a spiky hair cannon sword wielding sprite based character, which is probably in a turnbased combat game. XDXDXD Basically recommended something he definitely doesn't want to play.
