No. ALL PS3's have backwards compatibility with PS1 games, even the slim ones.I think you're getting confused with PS2 backwards compatibility... And even then you are wrong because the second PS3 model released in 2007 also had backwards compatibility.

@ShadowsDemon You were restricted when you played BFBC1 when you were 13 regardless whether it was MA15+ or R18+ anyway, so it really doesn't effect you.

It's not wrong to judge you kids under the same label, level of maturity can't be measured, that's why it is done by age, I bet some 13 year olds are mature enough to drive, doesn't mean it's ever going to happen.

And lastly this is a positive, not a negative. I doubt this will effect anyone under 18 (buy your games online like the rest of us if you don;t have ID), and it's a huge benefit for us 18+ gamers

Do what you want to BF3 EA, I've gone back to BC2 while there are still people playing it.

BF3 is far from being the best Battlefield game, and this crap isn't going to help.

PS3 does have backwards compatability with PS1, meaning you can play all the TH Pro Skater games...

I've owned roughly 30 odd PS3 games since owning my ps3 and out of those only 3 of them I have bought in Australia (through trade in deals). It's just a rip off, EB games is the biggest crap hole in the world. Latest purchase NBA Jam ebay from UK =$40 shipped, EB games =$78. lol
