@kazeswen:

Personally, I've never seen anyone post that 4K gaming could be done on the cheap. 4K gaming on PC has always been a bit of a pipe-dream because the technology has always lagged.

Until a single card can handle 4K at 60fps, I personally won't consider it a viable option.

A lot of the things in your list are luxury items...like who really "needs" (<---key word) a 1TB SSD for gaming, or "needs" to drop $850 on a CPU + MoBo Combo.

Future Proof in PC gaming is another pipe-dream because there is always something better in the pipeline. Blu-Ray Drives are not $90 and who needs a $220 case???

32GB of RAM is pure overkill at $170. Drop in 16GB for starters, grab more down the road if more was ever needed.

You can't exactly set out to "overbuild" a PC then say its expensive.

@killered3:

I was speaking to digital media on consoles in general, not any one specific title. If you sell the console, you can not sell the games...was my point.

Nothing really surprising for those of us who spend time in the PC gaming world. I was saying probably close to two years ago that this console generation wouldn't last nearly as long as the previous. Games struggling to hit 1080 at even 30fps was a good indicator of the hardware's inability to scale.

I also tried to explain that the newer console games will come with presets to allow the game to work on both old and new platforms...just like low, medium and high-end PCs.

For me, I'll just stick with my legacy PS4 and XBO and just continue to upgrade my aging PC as needed.

Yeah, Disney has it now so let the milking begin. As far as I am concerned, Star Wars died once Lucas sold it.

He should have kept control but stayed on as co-director.

@xenomorphalien:

This is MS UWP restricted garbage, nothing more, nothing less. If the game had released on a Win32 platform it would have none of these silly issues.

They would have been better off just keeping the game on XBO.

For PC...I saw this broken POS coming a mile away.

RotTR on UWP launched broken, GOW on UWP launched broken, so why would anyone expect QB on UWP to be flawless out of the box?

People who pre-ordered this on PC knowing the other titles launched with issues deserve this.

@vfighter:

If not...any Dual-Core POS Craigslist PC should be able to run it.

@kopesettik:

PC version is a hot mess (as expected), I wouldn't install that UWP garbage for free.

There's also a crafting exploit, so I think the goal is to make that less desirable.
